disappointing experience at the UC Berkeley sports facility with the taekwondo do instructor Ahn. As a combat veteran, I expected professionalism and respect, but instead, I was met with dismissive behavior, condescending tone, and conflicting information about their training program. Taekwondo is supposed to teach humility and respect, but none of that was reflected in this interaction from the tonality, mannerism or facial expressions. I wouldn’t recommend this environment to anyone seeking a respectful and welcoming experience especially if you are a person of color. The tae Kwon do department head staff is very nasty. I’ll be taking my money and time spent elsewhere. - Papi Wisdom
