December 18 · Shawn EllingsonA great training community: warm, friendly people; beautiful space with very nice mats; convenient location. Would recommend to any student from total beginner to advanced black belt!
June 01 · Eric ZuckermanI've been training at Aikido of Berkeley for a long time. Kayla Feder is an amazing practitioner and teacher. She is an excellent teacher: kind, compassionate, supportive, encouraging and welcoming. She embodies all facets of Aikido - physical, spiritual and helps us through our practice to actualize mind and body integration. Her dojo is a safe, accepting space where you feel part of a community from day one on the mat. If you're looking to train in Aikido, look no further. The dojo is easy to get to in Berkeley, right on University and Sacramento and only a short walk from the North Berkeley BART station. There are classes every day of the week.
June 16 · Anastasia C.I'm grateful to have found such a warm, diverse and creative group of people to train with each week. Out of all the dojos I visited in the Bay Area, this dojo led by Kayla Feder Sensei is the jewel - just the right combination of tradition and flexibility, bad-ass aikido and warmth, both silence and authentic dialogue. It's full circle community - we take care of members when they are sick, we attending each others concerts and creative projects, hold potlucks and get down clean the dojo together, regardless of rank.
