★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have absolutely loved the Dojo! Our son has grown so much while attending. We have seen a great amount of improvement at school as well. Every single Coach has made an impact on our son and the best part is our son is very proud of himself.
August 26 · Amanda RyanWe LOVE Dojo 400! All the coaches are amazing! They understand that kids can do more, so they challenge them. However, they also understand that sometimes the forms or skills can be challenging. When this happens, they show compassion and patience and talk to the kids to keep going. They are excellent in motivating kids to be disciplined and at the same time enjoy their blackbelt journey.
March 14 · Angelita RodriguezWe had a mostly good experience with Dojo 400, but sadly, there was a lot of bad that makes me regret sending my kids there. The establishment is basically run by teenagers and very young adults. When we had a billing issue arise, it was handled poorly. My kids paused their classes because they were burned out and getting bored with karate. The coaches told me this was a bad idea because most kids didn’t come back when they did this. As their mother, I knew this was necessary. I did not want them to quit, just take a break. It was also Christmas time when things are very busy. Once they came back, we were m told we were not allowed to come back unless we renewed for an entire year. My kids were not allowed to finish out their current belt color even though we were two months into a three month session. When Coach Michael told me this, I sat there and cried through what would be their last class. My kids cried too once we were home and I told them. We had made so many friends at the dojo. I poured so much money into this place. Two years worth of classes, two sets of sparring gear that they never used, and summer camp. I’m a single mom, so I was working an extra job for my kids to be able to go to these classes.I will say my kids had fun most of the time. The staff did do a good job of being personable and remembering our names. They did a family class that my kids and I loved. My kids also had fun at the summer camps. All in all I would not recommend this establishment. Committing small kids to a year of anything is mind boggling. I wish I would have invested all the money I spent on another sport or activity. The dojo puts on the illusion of everyone being like family, but at the end of the day, they just want your money. They did not care about me or my kids or they would have worked with us to let my kids finish out their belts and not force them into another year of karate that they did not want to do.
June 06 · Ashley GipsonMy kids have been members of the dojo for a few years now and love it. Both have grown tremendously in their discipline and confidence. The coaches are great with the kids and always manage to make it fun while simultaneously teaching them practical skills and helping to reinforce values at home. They take time to get to know each child and their particular needs and strengths, and are always open to offering specific instruction and assistance for any kid as needed. . It has been a real joy watching my kids break through barriers and grow
August 27 · Jon ChristopherI can’t speak highly enough of the job they do at Dojo in Dawsonville. I honestly didn’t think this was an activity our kids would be involved in, since I wasn’t as a child. But since our daughter started 6 months ago she has loved every minute of the classes and camps she’s attended. All of the coaches are amazing in how the lead the classes, but also how they communicate with the kids. They both challenge and encourage her, often times helping her to reach goals she thought were too hard. We have seen a huge increase in her dedication and discipline not just in class but at home as well. And that is the biggest gain we have seen, helping the kids to learn that the lessons they are learning are not just while they are at Dojo, but in life as well. Great job team Dojo!!!
