McMurray's House of Discipline Reviews
Disappointing experience. Its expensive and I didn't feel like my child learned anything. There's inexperienced teenagers teaching. The senior instructor seems WAY too old to be teaching anymore and he has this weird obsession with parents speaking at practice. Parents aren't allowed to utter a single word the entire time. It's very odd. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
May 17 · Victoria KeeneI'm now 38yrs old, married with 7 kids.... and everything I've learned from Mr. McMurray is ingrained in me!I took judo as a kid with my two other brothers in Fort Hood, then our instructor retired....my mother and father then enrolled me into Mr. McMurray's school from early 90's until about 1998. Life got complicated so i fell off of my martial arts classes. Under Mr. McMurray i got to 1st degree black belt.... I attended many turnaments and even tried out for the Olympic team for 2000....i got kicked hard for the first time, and that kick was a round house to my neck artery, i almost got knocked out.... that knocked me out of my chance.I have strong confidence in my legs... I'm barely 140lbs now, but these legs and feet can put some serious damage to an adversary. I grew up watching the very 1st UFC, and i have learned to incorporate the Hapkido into grappling on the floor! Four of my kids are currently enrolled in Gracie Barra Jujitsu, and every once in awhile the instructor will invite me to join the class.... because of hapkido, bjj guys have to watch their wrist with me. My wrist lock and wrist control will make them tap!Mr. McMurray helped me develop some amazing skills! It was a pleasure to be his student! He helped me be the man i am today! He is an amazing man!If life wasn't so complicated... my kids would definitely be under his teaching!Thank you Mr. McMurray!
