January 25 · Eddie RodriguezIsland Style Kajukenbo is a Fremont treasure. Professor Bob Gomez is a Hall of Fame Martial Artist and quality man who deeply cares about his students. The martial arts skills and quality philosophy Professor Gomez and his many high ranking guest instructors teach is absolutely top notch.
April 06 · Anthony MagallanesI'm a student at Island Style Kajukenbo, I did have little past experience of martial arts when I was a kid, however throughout the years I've been searching for a school to join. I met Professor Bob Gomez who is the head instructor of the school and I told him about some unfortunate incidents I've had at house parties, and after the interview I was on my way to join the school. Just before me explaining in more detail about the school, I'd like to say Professor Bob Gomez and Sifu John who is the second instructor that teaches intermediate rank students, are both down to earth individuals that will make you feel like you're part of a family, and being part of the school is considered you being part of the Ohana which I'm most proud to be. I have been attending ISK for about a year now and I must say I'm very glad I chose to attend this school, and yes it's in a garage but the amount of value and exposure in martial arts you'll get here, you won't get in many others schools. You'll occasionally meet instructors from other schools and people who are very well known in martial arts community, and who are very nice and respected individuals. Everything inside the school is well organized and has all the equipment you'll need to learn self- defense, I highly recommend this school because if you lack in self defense THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! 👊🤙
March 28 · ReshadIf I was in search of a school this would be my last stop...there's a certain feeling about the training room which draws you to it. I could almost feel the energy of all the knowledge that has been taught to past and present students. Professor Bob Gomez teaches from the heart. His knowledge and capability as a Professor take him straight to the top as a teacher. You walk in empty and leave full of confidence that your on the road to an adventure in this world called Martial Arts. Trust me this is the place for you.💪
