★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been a student of Sensei James Alexander and Iron Forged Martial Arts in Colorado Springs for almost a year now and I’m so glad I found this school. I’m a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Muay Thai and I know the real deal when I see one, Sensei James is that and more. He has a wealth of knowledge and an expert in multiple forms of martial arts.A unique style that is offered here at Iron Forged is Kudo which can be best explained as Japanese Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and is one of the reasons why I joined the school. Sensei James has built a friendly and professional community of coaches and students. Whether you’re an absolute beginner with no martial experience or looking to test your skills in the ring or cage, look no further than Iron Forged Martial Arts! You’ll be happy you found it.
September 03 · Nakapan PhungephornFantastic martial arts studio. They genuinely care about teaching and aren't a belt factory. My husband and I do the warrior body class. Would highly recommend.
July 11 · addi harveyMe and my husband have done the sword classes at Iron Forged for nearly a year. Fun and challenging whether you are brand new or have martial arts experience. I have done martial arts for over 20 years, but a stack of old injuries mean I have to sometimes change or adjust the drills. No issue at all! Thanks to our instructors JD and Tyler!
January 19 · Maren Bell JonesI take two classes at the Iron Forge. Actually, the first is a Japanese language club, but is presented by Sensei James as a class at a very modest monthly fee. It is clear he teaches out of love the language, in which he is fluent. His calm demeanor and knowledge make the class fun. Both my adult daughter and I are taking the class. I can't say enough good things about the course. The other class is Master John's Warrior Body Elements instruction, which is awesome! It is primarily a self defense course and pulls on a variety of martial arts styles. The goal is not competition; it is straight up "how do I protect myself if attacked in a variety of ways?" The class also has a strong focus on developing balance, health and resolving muscular-skeletal issues. What I like best is that the class is accessible. I never feel intimidated and I am 70 years old - yet sparring with people half my age! The other students are fun and thoughtful. The dojo is small, clean, welcoming and safe.
October 16 · SuZett EstellAs a former gym owner this is one of the only places in the Springs that I would recommend my students to go to. Very high level striking and grappling put together for the art of Kudo. Translates very well for MMA if that's what you're interested in as well. Excellent staff and good people as well. - Jeff Martinez
