July 27 · Teela GSo I came here when I was a kid and as an early teen. Sensi aria would make me do a bunch of drills that at the time I didn’t understand. I would do a bunch of karate techniques and i would always think to myself why is she making me do the same thing over and over again. Sometimes I would do these drills and feel like it was a punishment. Today I am 23 years old. I am now a mma fighter and a kickboxer with a 3-1 record. My spinning hook kick are deadly. My leg sweeps are insane and honestly it’s thanks to her. My movement and fighting style is very unique. All my kicks are unique. I am myself am a unique fighter. I only realized this when my coach was like: where did you learn to kick like that. Even the kata is an explosive action(if you do it perfectly). I never got to thank sensi aria for everything she did for me. But this is my way of doing it. Sign up your kids for karate. Not only did it make me the fighter I am today but it also taught me a lot of a discipline. As a troubled kid who didn’t know how to listen it really changed my life. If I ever have kids I am taking them here and to jujitsu. Thank you sensi, I’ll be coming to thank you soon in person

May 11 · Michael DavtyanSensei Arai has created a very secure, non-intimidating and comfortable environment for kids and adults of all ages to learn and practice Karate. I’ve seen 70+ year old women taking classes here lately during their afternoon class. Wetake classes here and we have gained a lot of our health back with just a few weeks of lessons here. My chronic rib pain miraculously disappeared after two months of afternoon karate sessions and am very grateful for the TLC I have received here. The after school pickup program is amazing with kids learning karate and art and crafts after school. It’s a great indoor place to learn self defense and flexibility exercises especially during the long Seattle winters. We plan to continue to learn here for many years to come.

September 17 · Sia SSensei Arai is one of the kindest most caring people you will ever meet! Washington Karate association is highly disciplined but in an appropriate way that help people learn life skills. My son went there for years and although I never practiced I learned a lot listening. To all the Sensei one of the most valuable life lessons I have learned to this day came from them. If you are considering practicing karate or just want exercise this is the place to do it!

June 06 · Paul DeanneFrom the many years I have attended this dojo, I have benefited greatly not only physically, but mentally. Training at this dojo made me more physically active than if I hadn't joined. I've learned to have discipline, respect, confidence and much more. As Karate is a great form of self defense it's also a great way to be a better person in society. Again you will get nothing but great benefit from training at this dojo. Everyone is friendly and kind.
