Deciding on a martial arts school is a personal choice, and T3MA of Redmond presents a strong case with its diverse programs and professional facility. What makes this gym worth choosing is its potential for a truly positive and transformative experience, particularly under the guidance of its highly-regarded instructors.
The positive experiences highlighted by customers, especially the praise for Coach Endo, show that the gym has a strong core of dedicated and supportive teachers. For students seeking a respectful and patient environment, these classes are a clear draw. The welcoming nature for beginners is another significant point, as it can be intimidating to start a new physical discipline. The review from the new student confirms that the T3MA community is welcoming and encourages newcomers, which is vital for building confidence and a sense of belonging.
However, it is equally important to acknowledge the mixed feedback, particularly concerning one instructor. The serious nature of the negative experiences shared in one review, including public belittlement and a seeming lack of concern for a severe injury, is a significant consideration. This kind of feedback highlights the importance of choosing classes and instructors carefully. While the gym as a whole is described as "good," a potential student should use this information to their advantage by seeking out the classes and coaches who are consistently praised for their professionalism and supportive demeanor.
In conclusion, T3MA of Redmond offers a solid foundation for martial arts training in a variety of disciplines. While the overall experience may depend on the specific instructor, the presence of highly-regarded coaches and a welcoming community for new students makes it a worthwhile option for those in the Washington region. By being aware of the different experiences available, you can confidently navigate the classes and find the right path for your personal martial arts journey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I trained at T3MA for about 13 months. Overall, the gym itself offers solid instruction and facilities, but my experience was mixed, depending on the instructor.Evening Classes with Coach Endo:These classes were consistently enjoyable. Endo is incredibly patient, respectful, and helpful with all his students. He goes out of his way to answer questions and ensures his students feel supported. I highly recommend attending his classes—he’s a fantastic coach and role model.Morning Classes with Priscilla:Unfortunately, my experience here was very different. Over the course of several months, I noticed repeated instances of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior—not just toward me but also toward other students. She appeared to lose patience quickly, showed favoritism, and would sometimes belittle or harshly criticize students, regardless of belt level. This created a tense and unwelcoming environment. Two specific incidents stand out:1. I was elbowed in the face during a roll and clearly dazed, but was told to “keep going” and that it “wasn’t a big deal.”2. More seriously, I suffered a shoulder dislocation during sparring and required months of physical therapy. Despite the visible pain and injury, I was publicly insulted and mocked in front of the class. I later filed a complaint, which was acknowledged, but the situation left a lasting impression on my view of her classes. This review isn’t meant to attack anyone personally, but to express a pattern of behavior I—and others I’ve spoken to—experienced firsthand. I stayed silent for a long time out of respect and fear of repercussions, but now that I’ve moved on to another gym, I feel it’s important to share.Again, I want to emphasize: T3MA is a good gym overall, and I had a positive experience with Coach Endo and several others. But based on what I went through, I do not recommend taking Priscilla’s classes. I hope the gym continues to grow and maintains an environment that supports and uplifts all its students equally.

July 10 · Naarah HastingsThis is a great place for kids and adults to train. The head coach, professor Miriam is kind, motivating, and safety focused, and she has gathered coaches with a similar training philosophy. Both my daughters have trained here for over five years and benefited greatly from the training in friends made, goals accomplished, and confidence gained.
