★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Master Chang is absolutely amazing! I didn’t know what to expect my first day coming in, but he has created such a great learning environment, teaches discipline, constantly challenges me as an athlete. I didn’t even realize it’s where my little sister trained, and my mom loved him as well. *I can also confirm millions of others have taken a liking to his teaching from social media.😅* Now that I’m a high yellow belt and have taken private classes, I can honestly say they are worth it.😊 Phenomenal place and instructors. The kids are very respectful as well.(:In terms of the business, I have heard many great things about the whole family!
April 02 · Taylor ChampMy daughter was first exposed to US Taekwondo Academy through a Girl Scout self defense workshop there, and had so much fun that she immediately wanted to join their classes. That was 9 years ago, and she's still there. She has gone from a white belt to a 3rd Degree Black belt currently working towards becoming a Master (4th Degree). She is on their competition team, their demonstration team, is a summer camp counselor there, as well as being an instructor, and practically lives there, because that is her happy place. She loves both the Main Street and Churchville schools, and Grand Master Chang, Master Chang, Master Jennifer and Master Julia have become like family. My daughter used to struggle to make friends because she was so shy, but the students at USTA are encouraged to interact and be supportive of everyone, so friendships and commaraderie form naturally. Students gain confidence, fitness, focus, determination and respect, not just in the sport of taekwondo, but that carries over and follows them through their life. Thanks to USTA, taekwondo has become such an important part of my daughter's life that when she recently had her Senior portraits taken at school, there was no question that her taekwondo uniform would be one of her limited outfits for her pictures. I can't praise USTA and the Changs enough for their positive impact on their students of all ages, and I'm so grateful that a chance encounter through a Girl Scout event led to our ongoing, long-term relationship with them.
November 27 · Laura CourtneyI Can’t Thank USTA Chang for all they have done for my Grandson Carson Freeman. Carson has been in Taekwondo since he was 5 years old However when his First mentor and Master Left the Baltimore Area Carson decided to take a Break from Taekwondo. He was 12 at the time he is now 16. Carson asked me if he could go back to Taekwondo about 2 Years ago. At first, I was reluctant as there are so many Taekwondo Schools that really don’t care one way or the other about the Student except that they get paid.Carson has always been a Great Kid, Smart, Polite, Creative, Handsome, Respectful, and just an all-around Great Person…. Yes, I am Bias he is my Grandson after all, however all of this is True.I was concerned however as Carson didn’t really care for any Sports or Extracurricular Activities except maybe his XBOX. There is nothing wrong with that except no Growing Young Person should only have School and XBOX in their Life. So, I started looking for a Good Taekwondo School where Carson would be Happy, Learn but Learn the Right Way. I not only found a Good School but a GREAT SCHOOL in USTA Chang and a GREAT MASTER & MENTOR in Master CJ Chang.Carson has Grown so much and in Only the Best way being a Part of USTA CHANG.I am usually always at Carson’s Classes as I love to watch him Grow in his Sport. I have watched over the last 2 years as Master CJ Chang teaches his Students. Master CJ always takes the time to help each of his students and is always there to help & advise his students. That means so much to a Parent and/or Grandparent as our Young and Growing Children need the kind of Support Master CJ Chang gives them as they find their way into their teen years as well as into Respectful Productive Young Adults.I am Thrilled I made the decision to choose USTA Chang as the Taekwondo school for my Grandson and would Recommend it to anyone looking for the Best of the Best in Taekwondo Training as well as a Caring School, that sees All their Students and Student’s Families as a Part of their Own Extended Family. Carson certainly sees Master CJ Chang as his Master, Mentor and most importantly his Hyung. For that I am eternally grateful. I know what Master CJ Chang teaches Carson will stay with him throughout his Life!Thank You USTA Chang and Especially Master CJ Chang. I have put Carson in Your hands and You have not disappointed me.Sincerely,Mary Camalier
June 12 · M CamalierOur youngest daughter has started her Taekwondo journey with US Taekwondo Academy. Master CJ, Master Jennifer, and all of the other instructors, senior black belts, etc. provide a level of instruction, fun, and structure that has been amazing for our kid.She recently competed in her first competition, and the experience was amazing. I was able to see over 20+ Taekwondo gyms compete, and was able to watch the coaching, mentoring, etc. I can say hands down USTA has the best ring side coaches, best teammate, etc. There was never a second that our students were alone on a mat, they were greeted with a high fives and words of both encouragement and coaching at the end of every event. I saw other teams where this was not the case.I want to be clear when I say the coaches are still firm. They still expect a high level of effort, and execution. But more than anything they are fair, encouraging, and will stand by their side when they fall and help them get up and find their confidence again. We love this place, and are so proud to say...WE ARE, TEAM CHANG!!!
October 14 · Eric LevisonBoth of my sons had an incredible experience at the U.S. Taekwondo Academy under the instruction of Master Chang when they were in grade school. One of my sons is now entering college and has just returned as a student again due to his wonderful experience when he was younger. Master Chang is an ultimate professional, who cares deeply about the well-being of his students, showing them compassion, while providing stellar Taekwondo instruction and teaching discipline. I can't think of anyone or any better Taekwondo school to give my son a fantastic workout, while he continues to gain more confidence in himself and his ability to defend himself if needed. I would recommend Master Chang and the U.S. Taekwondo to anyone!!
