The level of respect, discipline, exercise, and mental challenge feels great and keeps us engaged. The community feels safe, honest, and like they all raise the bar for each other. Its a really wonderful place.
January 08 · Sarah BirdsongLove the sense of community and volunteering. The place is kept really clean and organized. Instructors are amazing and very friendly. I find it nice to learn the philosophical aspects of martial arts along with the physical activities and weapon trainings. Membership includes yoga classes and sparring lessons as well.
December 03 · V SSung Ming Shu is an amazing place. My son, who is on the spectrum, started a couple of years ago in the kids class. The instructors, who are all volunteers, have been so patient and kind to him. This is true of the members as well. I joined shortly afterwards in order to try and help him with the techniques. After my first class, I was both humbled and hooked. My older daughter join too and loves it as well. Cannot recommend it enough, truly a magical place.
January 08 · Jill ClarkI started in September of 2019 and love this dojo. I feel challenged by the style, supported by instructors, and welcomed by everyone.I am an older adult (started at age 50), who attends class 2 nights per week. There are also other opportunities to train on weekends. It has been a great motivator to keep moving and increase my level of fitness. I can't say enough about the Sensei's. They each have taught me valuable lessons.Ron
