PKSA Karate Johns Creek Reviews
Our son AJ has been involved in the Little Ninjas program offered by PKSA Johns Creek under Coach Jason Price for a little under a year now. We were introduced to Coach Jason and the program during a demo offered at our son's preschool. AJ immediately gravitated toward Coach Jason and to the art of karate that he saw. With a slight hesitation on enrolling AJ because he was only 4 at the time, I took the time to go into the PKSA Johns Creek Studio to talk directly with Coach Jason. Not only were all my hesitations removed based on the conversation, but Coach Jason reassured me that he would work directly with AJ on some of his behavioral issues that we were seeing. AJ is now enrolled in the daytime class offered at his school once a week and participates in the evening class as well twice a week. When AJ was acting up in school by showing off his newly acquired karate moves in class, I spoke with Coach Jason and AJ's teacher to ensure we are all on the same page with our message. Coach Jason was the first to say that each time he saw AJ he would ask how his day in school was and took AJ's experience to share with the others in the evening class on when it is appropriate to do karate vs. not. Coach Jason has a way of turning a negative incident into a learning lesson for all his students by using language, discipline, and motivation that inspires not only the kids but those parents who are watching. AJ has responded well to this interaction and has even taken responsibility for his actions when he misbehaved. Despite a few setbacks including having to have a couple of stripes removed from his belt due to lack of respect for others and poor listening in class/school, I am proud to say that AJ just successfully tested last week to move from his white belt to his yellow belt.PKSA Johns Creek is a great place to sign up your kids for karate because Coach Jason is patient, kind, knowledgeable and you can see the love for the art shine through in all he does. Not only is AJ learning karate but he is also learning self control, discipline, and respect to name a few things.
