★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Both of our kids - one in the Infant/Toddler and one in Preschool - have improved their swimming by leaps and bounds over two months of weekly swim lessons! Every instructor we have worked with has been so patient and works with each kid where they need to improve their swimming and water safety skills. We would recommend Perry Family YMCA's swim lessons to anyone looking to help their kid with swim confidence and water safety.
August 18 · Emily FellowsI absolutely loved coming here for the past year and my son loved the child watch and all of his teachers. I really felt like this place helped me in many ways physically, mentally and spiritually. I truly felt a sense of community here. May 02 · Adrianna HI went to this location me & my daughter but it was not a great experience when we walked through the doors the front counter man Ed told my daughter to move she is 9 years old and two kids cane in a Black and white kids and he told the white kid he was fine but the black kid he told he needed to see some ID when the child had a YMCA card I could t believe it the front counter associate seen it as well. Also he was rude to my friend as well with her daughter I told Ms. Caldwell I would like an apology from him face to face and she acted like she was to busy I even responded in email. She did pull us in a room and explained some things but that’s not enough like all I wanted was for him to apologize in my face she thought by him sending a email apology that was enough . We are done with the Y and I have passed this message on to others.
August 06 · MegFacility is okay if you approach it from a community aspect, and if you have kids for sure. If you are coming here to work out, the gym is crowded in the morning with people that use the gym as a social gathering. If you're coming in the late afternoon, expect it to be a teenage daycare. Too many times have there has been teenagers throwing a basketball around or just running around you while you're trying to lift. The weight room is in front of the desk so they know what's going on, but choose to just ignore it I guess. If you are looking for community programs or just needing to come work out in the middle of the day it's probably a good option.
June 25 · William AllenIf anyone is considering enrolling their child(ren) into the sports program at Perry Family YMCA and are lucky enough to have Coach Singleton as their coach, you are in for an amazing experience! He has such positive energy and is everything you would want in a coach! He has the incredible ability to keep the attention of (almost) all of the kids on the field which, for a group of 3 year olds, is like herding cats! He makes sure each and every child participates and does so in a fun and engaging manner! He gears his "method of coaching" to each individual child, a true talent. His level of enthusiasm is unmatched! Coach Singleton is a huge credit to the YMCA and I hope he realizes what a positive impact he is making on every child's life that he interacts with!
