★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was studying Okinawan Uechi-Ryu karate for many years and had attained 6th Dan before joining Master Folta's classes. During that time, he hosted some of the Okinawan masters at his dojo, which is how we met. Those were great classes, and when it was time for me to find a new dojo, I joined Master Folta at his new location. It's a fine space, and the training there is authentic and excellent. Master Folta is kind and genuine, while also encouraging everyone to reach for the highest standards. His careful eye has improved my karate in many ways, large and small. I was careful in my choice of schools, and picked the best one in the area. I've seen his students, both kids and adults, get better over time and stay with the program. If you're serious about learning karate that works, this is the place I recommend. There is a lot to learn, and this is the real deal.

Their website is also extremely professional and easy to navigate, making registration and finding information a breeze. Communication is always prompt and clear, and there’s a great selection of programs for different ages and goals. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to train here!
June 19 · Nina LieuMaster Folta is an outstanding sensei, and the dojo has a real sense of camaraderie. The people here are kind, welcoming, and supportive. The knowledge and training are top-notch, and the environment challenges you to improve each classI’m a disabled veteran who started taking classes here in October 2024. In just five months, I’ve seen remarkable improvements in my physical health, my flexibility, strength, and toughness have all increased, and I’m experiencing significantly less chronic pain from my injuries. I can't recommend the program enough for anyone looking to begin or continue their journey in the martial arts!
February 25 · Martin JenkinsMaster Folta is a fantastic teacher that really cares about his students' progress and their wellbeing, and is very enthusiastic about imparting authentic traditional Uechi-ryu karate from Okinawa, Japan to every person that comes to train.
September 28 · Matthew PersilWe recently signed up both our children (ages 8 and 10) at Okinawa Karate and Cultural center and could not be more pleased. Master Folta strikes an amazing balance of patience, motivation, education and discipline. They are learning so much and I’m already seeing changes in their confidence. Looking forward to seeing where they go from here:) I’m
