Located in a central and convenient part of Manhattan, this camp offers an experience that goes beyond typical summer or holiday activities. It is a place where young New Yorkers can channel their energy into a positive and empowering pursuit, learning valuable life skills while having an incredible time. The camp's philosophy is rooted in the belief that martial arts can be a powerful tool for personal development, and their programs are designed to cultivate confidence, focus, and discipline in a fun, supportive setting.
The success of the children's camp is a direct reflection of the school's overall commitment to its students. Modern Martial Arts is a family-oriented business that identifies as both Latino-owned and women-owned, and it actively fosters an inclusive and welcoming community. The camp's reputation is built on its ability to strike a perfect balance between structured learning and pure, unadulterated fun. While the core of the program is martial arts training, campers also participate in a variety of other exciting activities, including creative crafts, games, and, most notably, field trips to some of New York's most famous attractions. This blend of physical activity and enriching experiences makes for a truly memorable camp. For parents who are looking for a way to keep their children engaged and active during school breaks, the Modern Martial Arts camp offers a compelling and comprehensive solution that is trusted by families across the Upper East Side.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I took my daughter here a couple of years ago and she loved it. Unfortunately, she earned her yellow belt a few days before her membership was up. But we kept talking about it and she wants to come back. I want to join as well. The whole staff is awesome. I learned and watched as my daughter trained, I felt like I was training with her. The instructors are very helpful and encouraging. I would like to give a salute to Instructor Keith and the entire staff at the Eastside location 😎
February 13 · Messiah QuilesI am 12 years old, and I go to Modern Martial Arts, I've been taking classes since I was 3 1/2 years old, The coaches are amazing at teaching and what they do. The receptionists are always so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, I strongly recommend if you are looking to have an excellent time while learning self-defense.
November 28 · Valeria Cortés balbuenaHad the pleasure of coming here with my 5 year old son. First time ever, a martial arts academy with so many dedicated staff per child. Older children helping as well. Enthusiastic and incredible communication skills for all the instructors I watched working with the kids. Whenever we come back to New York my son will be visiting here!! You are all an example!!
November 27 · Learning ChateauWe tried several schools in UES - this one is the best. Our son loves it!
August 04 · IrinaWe started coming here since the fall. We came from the other branch. My son really enjoys the kids BJJ class. The staff and instructors are great. Some we know for many years. They are truly the best. My son is learning a lot at this school. I don't have any complaint for MMA UES. My only complaint is to the parents and caretakers. It's about the seating upstairs. There are some chairs but the parents or caretakers don't tell their kids to put their stuff in the locker room. They let the kids use the chairs for their belongings. It's annoying because then you'd end up standing for a whole class or you get yourself a folded chair and put in the different spot but the only place to put the chair is in front of the men's room. There were only 3 parents today and all the 8 chairs were taken. So if you're a parent and thinking of signing up your kid here, please keep in mind to be considerate of others.
