★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have to be honest , I have a mixed feelings with the overall quality of training and testing here. The only time I get to watch my daughter is during belt testing, and what I see feels rushed and nonchalant. The movements lack power, energy, and proper coordination. Students often perform out of sync, and the result is more confusing than impressive to watch. What concerns me most is that, despite these weak performances, nearly everyone seems to move up in rank. It cheapens the meaning of earning a new belt when the standards are so low. The testing often lacks the sharpness and energy I would expect. The moves don’t always show strong coordination, and sometimes the overall presentation looks confusing rather than unified. It makes me wonder how and why so many students are able to move up belts, even when the performance doesn’t always reflect the level of power or precision I associate with traditional Taekwondo training, especially compared to what I’ve seen in Asia. That said, I do appreciate the opportunity for my daughter to learn discipline and build confidence here, but I believe there’s room for higher standards in testing and training execution. I think setting higher standards during testing would give the belts more meaning and motivate the students to strive for stronger technique. This school has great potential to inspire and develop its students, but I believe focusing more on precision, energy, and discipline especially when testing are coming would take the program to another level.
August 29 · Ms PiguetI enrolled my grandson in Master Cho’s 3 years ago. It has been a fantastic experience for him. He has learned so much from all of the instructors. I was told by another martial arts establishment that my grandson was not martial arts material. The first time I walk to Master Cho’s door I was impressed. They not only treated me with kindness and respect, but they treated my grandson with respect. In the three years that we have been there, I am seeing him grow into a very confident young man. He takes pride in his accomplishments. He works hard at learning all he needs to know, and he is supported by Master Cho And his exceptional staff. The teachers have a wonderful way with the children, and treat them with love and respect.I would say you could never make a mistake if you enrolled your child. Also, enroll yourself do something with your child. Mine is not far from his black belt, and I could not be more proud of him.
May 19 · Diana MeyersI joined Master Cho’s Tae Kwon Do when I was 13 years old, when my mother and I saw it across the street from the barber’s we just left. I took the introductory class and loved it, and after that, I just kept loving it for years. I loved it so much that I eventually joined the leadership team and worked my way up to assistant instructor, and just one year ago I earned my first degree black belt at the age of 18, after which I unfortunately had to move. I still visit more than once a year though. It was my first paid job and true dedication. It never felt like work and managed to brighten me up on my most sour high school days. It changed my life so much that my goals aligned with being able to follow my passion for it. Thank you Master Cho and all my teachers. I’ll keep coming back.
July 22 · Aidan James BeaumontMy son Jackson has been a student of Master Cho's since January 2021 and it has been the best experience. I have watched him grow as a Little Tiger into a medal winning Brown belt. The teachers are absolutely amazing and I have seen them help build up confidence in some of the shyest kids. What amazes me the most is how well Master Cho and his teachers know each student, they know when to challenge them and when to encourage them. The Summer Camps are also amazing and each year Jackson wants to add another week because of all the fun he has. He is already counting down the days and looking for this years schedule so that he pick his weeks.Overall, for me, this place is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it.
January 31 · Michelle MattinglyMy son has been attending Master Cho's taekwondo classes for the past 3 years, and I have seen him evolve from a little tiger to earning his brown belt. This class has undoubtedly improved his confidence and focus and helped him develop patience. We are very thankful to Master Cho and the fantastic teachers!!
