★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My son absolutely loves this class. We see consistent improvement with every class. I come and watch and I am always impressed with Master Dave's patience while teaching a wide range of different ages and abilities. The one thing he does not tolerate is unkindness or disrespect for your fellow students. Not only does he teach the skill of tae kwon do, he helps build their character.
July 07 · annmarie leitnerI have been going to Legacy TaeKwonDo for 2 years. In that time I have not only learned about TaeKwonDo and its values but I have also learned a tremendous amount about myself as a person and how I view my life and the world. Master Dave and all the coaches here care about you and want you to succeed. Master Dave and his family are the most down to earth people I know and I am so glad this school is a part of my life.
July 07 · CarrieAs I was scrolling through the web today searching for places to throw my son a birthday party I came upon Legacy’s. I was surprised they offer parties too but what surprised me the most was the bad review it received a week ago. First off my daughter has been going to the summer camp for 5 years and loves it so much she decided to be a volunteer and my son has been going for 4 years. This review slanders Dave and the team. Dave and the coaches treat the kids as if they are their own. They go above and beyond for these kids. They always find ways to help the kids as well as keeping them safe and find fun ways to entertain them. And if this child did make a racist comment towards another child then he deserved to get kicked out. Dave and the coaches always investigate when there is a problem before a decision is made for a child not to come back to the camp. This situation seemed to me appropriate. At any age it’s not ok to make racist comments and unless this person is delayed I do not see why he wouldn’t know what the comment meant. My son is 8 and I can assure you he knows racist comments. Unfortunately some kids never take accountability for their actions and become entitled thinking their actions are ok. Racist ideas and comments are learned behaviors. As for my review Dave deserves more than 5 stars. If it wasn’t for the summer camp my kids would be home on the tv or iPads because I do not trust anybody with my kids. Before I put my kids in the camp I was very hesitant to search other places but my sister trusts Dave and I can assure there is no place I wouldn’t recommend others to go for the summer or for the after school program. If I lived in Lodi my kids would also be in the program.
July 08 · Jannette BuitragoI don’t usually write negative reviews, but I hope you remember me, Master Dave. When I was just 7 years old, I was called racist and failed in your program because I used a word I didn’t understand at the time. I’ve carried that with me for years, and it hurt deeply. I was a kid—eager to learn, looking for guidance—not judgment. What happens in the dark always comes to light. I want to make it clear: I am not racist. I’ve grown up, and I understand now what that word meant—but I also understand that kids make mistakes and deserve to be taught, not labeled.I hope future students are met with more patience and understanding than I was.—Deemitri F Fairlawn NJ.
July 27 · Deemitri FThis teacher is the best in town! At first my daughter was so shy but she eventually opened up cause the teacher kept encouraging her to come and participate. My daughter is only 3 years old and i got a Groupon for a great deal for 2 classes a week for a half hour for 1 month which came with a VERY NICE uniform! We love it here!
