★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family began practicing at this dojo during the late 80s. I began when i was 5 years old and practice up until i was 15. This dojo not only teaches you karate, it also teaches you to be the best you. I am now 41 years old and to this day i continue to practice the guiding principles of what this dojo represents. The lessons and principles from this dojo showed me, a near high school drop out, to never under estimate my abilities to achieve greatness. To seek perfection of character, I proudly served the U.S. Navy for 8 years and went on to graduate from Law School. It all started at Kyodai.
June 14 · Ian HurtadoI used to go to this Karate School when I was very young. Here I met wonderful, caring and professional people (friends) who guided me both in Karate and in life. After trying various Martial Arts Schools and in an effort to get back in shape, after 20 years; I've returned to this Karate School.I do not know the new instructors or many of the new students. I do know the head instructor (George). He is a traditional Karate-ka.Here kids and adults learn the basics of Martial Arts, life skill/ other essential values like discipline and respect.IF you are looking for grappling and hardcore fighting, this may NOT be the place for you. But, If you are seeking fitness/ getting in shape, a foundation in traditional Martial Arts, and the opportunity to forge lasting friendships, this could be the ideal place for you.It was for me.
December 12 · Angel CabreraMy son was unable to focus and could not control his anger, which cause fight at school all the time. Since he started to join the karate group in Kyodai,he is able to control his anger better, and he focuses on what he is doing. The last school year he had awarded in many areas. The dojo teaches the kids perseverance and determination..
August 15 · Sheila ChavannesI've grown up here. I started when I was 7. The people there became my second family. George Ashkar is like a second father. I've traveled the country competing nationally with them. I am honored to have my name put up on the dojo wall with all the others who have achieved their Black Belt. 31 years later, I still hold the values taught to me. They teach l traditional and practical Shotokan Karate. They also have Judo and Kung Fu classes. You enter that dojo, you will leave with a lifetime of valuable lessons and memories, and you will always return.
April 13 · Marcel GarciaWhat a wonderful place with people who really enjoy working there and truly care about doing what they do. The amount of caring and dedication at Kyodai is amazing. From the first day I walked in while my daughter practiced Karate to now as I take the fitness fusion classes I have experienced the same warm, friendly and professional environment. I personally love and support family owned businesses and respect the level of courtesy that never seems to change. If your looking for a fun, place to work hard and meet sincere people who all have the same goals to accomplish then you have come to the perfect place. Thanks Kyodai.
