Kims after school Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For families in Easley and the surrounding areas of South Carolina, finding a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children after school hours can be a top priority. Kim's After School offers a perfect solution, blending the structured world of martial arts with the fun and social atmosphere of a comprehensive after-school and summer program. This unique establishment is more than just a place to learn karate; it's a community dedicated to a child's holistic development. They focus on instilling a sense of discipline, respect, and confidence that extends beyond the dojo and into every aspect of a child's life. The instructors at Kim's After School are committed to providing a perfect balance of fun, strictness, and learning, as highlighted by a student named Khace. This student's review shared a firsthand experience, stating, "it was the perfect mix of fun strict and learning." This dedication to a well-rounded experience is what makes Kim's After School a cherished resource for local parents.
The program is designed to be highly interactive and rewarding for children of all ages. Instead of simply being a place for kids to pass time, it's a space where they can be active, learn new skills, and feel a sense of accomplishment. The curriculum includes daily martial arts training, which is a powerful tool for physical fitness and character building. The instructors are skilled at keeping students engaged, even when they need to reinforce discipline. Khace, the same student, provided a great example of this, recalling a time when misbehaving students were given jumping jacks and push-ups to do, while the well-behaved students were rewarded with a movie. This demonstrates the school's clear and consistent approach to behavior management, which parents greatly appreciate. The school also understands the importance of fun, with Mrs. Kim hosting special events like Christmas and Halloween parties and "sneaking a few fun days into karate so we wouldn’t get bored." This thoughtful approach ensures children are always excited to come back.
Furthermore, the school operates with a clear sense of community and dedication. According to the student review, Mrs. Kim reinvests the money from snack sales back into the school, showing a commitment to the growth and well-being of the program and its students. This level of care and personal investment from the staff is what makes Kim's After School feel like a second home for many children in the Easley area. For any parent in South Carolina looking for an after-school program that prioritizes their child's health, education, and personal growth in a safe and positive environment, Kim's After School is an excellent choice. It’s a place where kids can learn to be confident, disciplined, and respectful, all while having a great time.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My name is is Khace and I’m writing my names just in Mrs Kim sees this but here’s-my experience so u should go here because when I was there it was the perfect mix of fun strict and learning there like one time I went and when we got of the bus and the 4th 5th 6th graders go there they rolled out the mat and told us to come and when we came we watched a movie. Then another time we were having class and we were being bad so she told us to stop like 100 times but we did not so she took all the kids who weren’t being bad out the class and then the kids who were being bad had to do jumping jacks push ups and etc. also during the winter time she would host a Christmas party and it so fun she would do the same for Halloween . She also when she gets money from snacks puts it right back in the karate school. She would also sneak a few fun days into karate so we wouldn’t get bored and that’s only half the stuff she would do.

December 09 · Khace JamesYes I agree that not every child care facility is perfect but neither are parents. my daughter has been going here for over 2yrs now and my daughter is always excited to go and is always happy when I pick her up. That’s the most important thing for me is that my daughter is well taken care of and happy.I feel that Kim works hard and is doing the best she can and I appreciate everything she does but yes she is human over the last 2yrs I only know of the one time she was late and it was 20min not an hour “karen”. As a parent I was able to watch what they do during class and yes they let the old kids help with karate class cause they are more advanced. I feel that is good for the old kids too do. I have nothing but good things to say about this place but thank you for all you do.

July 12 · Rachel CobbThis program has helped our son significantly. We’ve seen improvements in his focus, discipline and social skills. He is more confident and responsible. We appreciate that they actually help the kids instead of just babysit them like many other camps do.When we drop our son off we know that he’s safe, learning an actual skill, and he’s with adults that actually care about him.

July 26 · Amanda JordanIt has been a blessing to find Mr. Al and his karate after school program. Multiple instructors with a background in different styles of martial arts. Safe, Clean and Affordable(half the cost of day cares!!!) My 2 kids have been in it for many years. Mr. Al does not tolerate bullying or any disrespect and handles every situation accordingly and fairly. I can not stress that enough. I have always been informed of the girls misbehavior and now I can't remember the last time I had a negative thing said. And their behavior at home improved as well. My oldest daughter used to be so shy and now she has many friends. My youngest daughter has excelled in this class and I cannot be more proud of the both of them. The comments are misinformed people with high expectations. I would recommend this program to anyone.

April 30 · Samantha GarnerThe owner is a nice, caring man who really cares about his kids. Some of these comments are harsh. For what you pay you can not expect this to be an elite Karate school. This is however, a very affordable(half the price of other places) after-school program that teaches Karate. Mr. AL is like a mentor to the kids and expects respectful behavior at all times. My child went to the YMCA for years and the teen aged counselors allowed her to be bullied. Mr. AL does not tolerate this type of behavior. He addresses it and then let's the parents know. As a single mom, this place has been a blessing.
