★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First, I would like to start by talking about the changes I have seen in my kids. I have two very different children. One is 6yo and the other 11yo. The younger is talkative, loud, and extremely energetic. Just to give you an idea, it was ALWAYS a struggle to keep him seated at the table during meals. He was always moving, always interrupting conversations, never staying put. After starting Karate America, he is still energetic(very!), but more focused, more respectful, has a lot of friends, and as a bonus he knows TKD. He knows weapons, forms, he is kicking above his head (proud mama!). Now, about my older kid, he is an introverted and shy, very polite child. Unfortunately, he had a VERY BAD experience with martial arts in the city we lived before moving to Jacksonville. He was traumatized. After giving him a break and moving to Jax, myhusband and I decided it would be good to try martial arts again (we know the benefits that a real good school can provide). Once in front of the school, my son started to cryand didn’t want to enter Karate America. We tried to “drag” him in, but we were unsuccessful. Ms. Zouein noticed and asked if she could talk to him. She showed such a caring, loving manner… she talked to him, calmed him down, and he decided to give it a chance. That was incredible! You cannot believe the changes we have seen in him! Besides playing tag, he never really liked any physical activity, and now he is doing somuch! He is training every day, and when he is just waiting around at home or anywhere else, he makes sure to practice his moves. His confidence and discipline increased somuch. He is definitely physically and emotionally stronger than when he started Karate America. But that’s not all. Ms. Zouein still keeps a closer eye on him and discuss with us (parents and my son) goals that he needs to keep in mind to become a black belt. She reminds him that becoming a black belt requires not only the physical training, but also respect, discipline, integrity, confidence, and leadership. And this is what makes Karate America remarkable: Master Moore and Ms. Zouein are truly looking into all these aspects in all the children. They do this very firmly but also with a lot of love, compassion, and understanding that they are only kids and they will make mistakes eventually.Second, I want to tell how good it is for parents to join this learning journey with your kids. It is the perfect bonding experience. For example, my kids usually learn themovements faster and better than me. Then, outside Karate, they teach me how to do it. I noticed how much this opportunity to teach the parent impacted positively theirconfidence! This is the moment they can say “I know something more than you mom, and I can teach you!” Also, we, the adults, have the opportunity to make friends and belong to a beautiful Karate Family!Third, safety for all kids. Ms. Zouein and Master Moore plans several activities for the kids with a laser-sharp eye. She told my husband how she hand-picks the places for field trips. The scrutiny goes from having only one entry and exit to bathroom safety and logistics, to strategic places to observe all kids and reach them efficiently, to so much more. If you are in doubt, please give them a chance to show how amazing they are.Lastly, I want to post here the privilege of having an amazing Master to teach our kids and us parents as well. It is a great privilege to learn TKD from an amazing Grand Master, Master Moore. My dear friend Mariza Yaunner created the song (see picture attached) in homage to his great accomplishment (9th degree black belt). Her words explain better how we (students) see him and who our leader is.Master Moore and Ms. Zouein, we love you! What a great Karate America family you have created! God Bless you and your business!
June 26 · Li YumiKarate America is the perfect martial arts school for all ages, from children to adults. They provide a well-structured curriculum, a welcoming environment, and genuinely care about every student. My children have been attending the facility for years and will continue for many more. Thanks to Master Moore, Ms. Zouein, and Ms. Joy, my kids have grown tremendously in confidence and discipline. In addition, they offer after-school pickup and are open on days when county schools are closed, providing reliable care for your child. Highly recommend!
January 18 · NehaMy son has been attending Karate America on Hodges Blvd since he was in Kindergarten. He is now a 2nd degree black and training for his 3rd degree black belt. Karate America is my second family. It is not just a place where your kid learns martial arts but they learn life skills. I am so blessed to have found it as early as I did. They truly care about each child and it is evident when you first walk in the door. Love and gratitude to the family of Karate America Hodges! ❤️
August 09 · Jenelle McKnightKarate America Windsor is truly an amazing school!**We’ve had both our son and daughter in their after-school program for over three years now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made as parents. They genuinely care about every student and treat each child with kindness and respect. The after-school program is incredibly well-rounded. They pick the kids up from school, make sure homework gets done, and then train them in various martial arts disciplines. On top of that, they keep the kids engaged with a variety of fun activities and games every day. What really stands out is the constant effort they put into building a fun and supportive community. There are weekly events like bounce houses, carnival themes, ice cream parties, waffles—you name it, they do it! It’s not just about martial arts; it’s about creating a space where kids can thrive.Master Moore, Ms. Zouein, and Joy are some of the kindest, most caring individuals I’ve ever met. They go above and beyond to ensure every child feels welcomed, supported, and valued. Both of my kids have flourished here—not just in martial arts but in developing confidence, discipline, and strong core values. We’re proud to be part of the Karate America Windsor family and plan to stay for many years to come!
April 16 · Arbe LoMy son is completing 4 wonderful years with Karate America, participating in their school activities, After School Program, and Summer Camp. I also practice martial arts here, and I can say it’s not just about martial arts—it’s about a whole family atmosphere built on respect and love. My son has learned not only self-defense, but also leadership, cooperation, and the value of respect. The entire staff works with true dedication and care, creating an environment where there is no rivalry—only teamwork. Bullying has no place here. My son loves the way he is treated, and we truly consider Karate America part of our family. The parties and field trips are unforgettable! I am deeply grateful for the professional work of Master Moore and Mrs. Zouan.
