Over the last 30 years, I have had the privilege of training with master level martial artists in Ninjutsu, FMA, MBC and Kuntao. After five months of group, on-line, and private lesson Wing Chun training with Sifu Petree (Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun), I feel fortunate to have found a genuine Wing Chun master level martial artist. His skill, understanding, and teaching ability of Wing Chun is off the charts. As evidence, his senior students are truly impressive. The depth of his knowledge seems almost unending. Sifu Petree’s ability to explain the nuances of each movement, as well as, the when and why the movement is applied is truly refreshing. After each class, I have a new revelation of the inner workings of Wing Chun and what makes this art so effective. Sifu Petree’s Wing Chun pedigree is impeccable, and I have no doubt that his Leung Sheung lineage instructors are very proud of his achievements.

What do you want out of a martial art? Do you want to fight, do you want to be healthier, or do you want to understand yourself better? In my small inclination that a martial art would be beneficial to my life, I wanted a blend of all those things and be able to continue my practice way into my eighties. I was lucky enough to find Atlantic Warriors and Sifu Petree. I have been a student for five years, and there has not been one lesson, training regimen, or instruction that was not logical, efficient, or moved me closer to my goals. In my limited understanding of martial arts, it appears that many people prioritize appearance over capabilities. Substance and consistency are what I look for in my life. With Atlantic Warriors, there is no wasted movement or lesson; everything Sifu Petree teaches progresses you forward at your current level. There is something for everyone.I have come to understand myself and my body better in the last five years than I have in my entire life combined. I have been receiving lessons from Sifu Petree now off and on for almost 10 years now. I first found Atlantic Warriors around 2013 and ever since that first lesson, I was hooked. In today’s world, where almost everything is shared online, it is rare to find such quality and traditional instruction that actually makes sense and works. Sifu Petree’s attention to detail and his explanations of the Wing Chun system will give you an understanding of the art rarely found anywhere else. Not only is his instruction of expert level, the helpful and supportive classmates are also always eager to help build on each other’s skill sets. I have taken many martial arts in my life, all of which I am grateful for, but when I learn Wing Chun from Sifu Petree, I truly feel as if I am being passed down a tradition. Atlantic Warriors holds both pride and humility for the lineage holders before us that have passed down these teachings to our school. I am extremely lucky to have met and trained with Sifu Petree. I won't be able to express here just how amazing this Sifu and school are but I will say 5 stars feels just unreasonably low but its the most I could put.I have been attending this school for around 6 months now. I take it with my 7-year-old son but it should be noted that the next youngest person in class right now is in their mid 30's -- this is not a kid's class, this is serious work but the Sifu is SOOOO good and flexible that it has worked amazingly well for both my son and myself.Previously, over the last 32 years, I have undergone many disciplines of training including Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing for years each and others for less time.The comments that Colin Sheehan made about the Sifu and class are well-said and I agree completely. The way the Sifu teaches is like nothing I have ever seen: efficient, effective, to the point. He always has you imagine the real scenario and practice in such a way that would actually work, and gently corrects you if its wrong and has you practice it for enough time to get it right (and then some more lol).Sifu's style of teaching is not improvised. He was very strictly, formally instructed both *the training* and *the teaching* from one of the most well-respected martial arts lineages in history. Based on hundreds of years of perfection, he has not changed it to adapt to any specific culture but kept true to form.I have so many good things to say about the Sifu and the effect this school has had on mine and my son's life. We learn way more than powerful punches and kicks that require minimal effort and leave us in balance. The lessons of Wing Chun teach us how to live our *LIVES* in a powerful way, that takes minimal effort, and leaves us in balance.

I have been training with Sifu (master) Petree for about a year and a half and my expectations for martial arts training has been blown out of the water. He teaches Wing Chun Kung Fu and Eskrima courses every week.Sifu Petree is a man of great character and the students in his classes are screened by him PERSONALLY to ensure the highest quality and most trustworthy students attend his classes, as this art is not a 'sport', per say. The classes not only teach you how to defend yourself and inevitably makes you become a better person all around. Note: Those with other martial arts backgrounds are welcomed and you do not have to be in top shape to attend these classes! He is not only a master of Wing Chun but a master instructor/ teacher. He tailors his lessons to the students on a daily basis and wants his students to be successful. No expensive special equipment is necessary, such as the Gi or padding.I have 10 years in the military and about a year and a half of Wing Chun Kung Fu training at Atlantic Warriors but there is ALWAYS more to learn from his classes. I feel more confident about being able to defend myself as a female and more importantly, how to stay out of the shady situations. I have explored other forms and schools in martial arts but nothing comes close.
