★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been associated to this Gym for few years now. Grand Master and other instructors are one of the best in Martial arts.Grand masters knowledge, dedication to teaching and ability to connect with students is the best. You will have to give sometime to feel that and positive changes that you would see in the students.Learning any art is neither time bound or nor transactional. It requires hard and extra work, patience, practice on both students and teachers. If instructors are in middle of teaching a skill and would need few extra time in the class, then the class will go on for extra time for the benefit of students. K&J school enables exactly the same kind of learning.
August 22 · Rakesh KumarMy son has been attending classes for 1 year now and I can’t say how proud I am. He improved his personal and social skills, developed body and mind, is making friends while learning from exceptional Masters. In the beginning I just wanted him to enjoy and have fun, but now I see how Taekwondo has helped him in many aspects of his life. This is a great investment, give your child this opportunity. 🏆
July 21 · Ale BilieriBeware!! Do not sign up for the trial free class!! I got my son all excited about trying the class as he’s been looking forward to doing martial arts. When we arrived as he was getting ready to put on the uniform for class, one of the instructors pulled me to the side to say they were no longer doing the free class as of today and it would be $30 for my child to use the uniform and take the class! This was absolutely ridiculous as they had just called me 30 minutes prior to the class and could have relayed that message then. Left with a disappointed and embarrassed child!
August 11 · Jasmine BaytopsWhen I first stepped into the dojo, I was unsure of myself. I couldn’t kick high, I lacked confidence, and I didn’t know what I was capable of. But everything changed. Now I can break boards, move with precision, and carry myself with pride. Taekwondo gave me strength—but Grandmaster gave me something even deeper.Grandmaster wasn’t just a teacher. He was life-changing. His guidance went far beyond technique. He saw potential in me when I couldn’t see it myself. He taught me how to rise after failure, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to believe in my own worth. Every lesson with him shaped not just my martial arts skills—but my mindset, my confidence, and my character. The community at K&J Martial Arts is just as powerful. Everyone supports each other, pushes each other, and celebrates each other’s wins. It’s not just a place to train—it’s a place to grow. One of my proudest moments was during Christmas when I broke boards and outperformed all my cousins in friendly competitions. That moment showed me how far I’ve come—and it’s all thanks to the training and encouragement I received here.If you’re looking for more than just martial arts—if you want transformation, empowerment, and a mentor who truly changes lives—K&J Martial Arts is where you want to be!
August 14 · Braylon RogersI decided to try a free trial period and our first class was on Monday. I was told via email to arrive at 4:15pm but when we arrived the instructor said to come back at 7:15p because of my daughter’s age (12yr). I was a little lost on why I was told 4:15 initially but I decided to bring her back. We arrived at 7:15p, it was a little chaotic because another class was ending but I expected that. A nice young lady gave my daughter an outfit and I was told the outfit would be $30. She changed and started the class at 7:25pm. Great first class, it was a little hard to understand the instructor but overall ok experience. I even told my friends about it and was eager to come back. The young lady told me that we have 3 more free classes and my daughter can come back on Wed and Fri. We arrived Friday for the 7:25pm class and I noticed they were putting on sparring gear?! I was a little confused because it was completely different from Mondays class but whatever. The instructor called me over and I thought he was going to explain the class, but he didn’t - he proceeded to ask me “Why does Genesis have that outfit on?!” Now I’m super confused and replied with “because the young lady gave it to her on Monday” He then said it’s the wrong size and I need to pay another $30 to get the correct size. Keep in mind there is a huge language barrier so I asked for clarification! I didn’t pick out the outfit it was given to us by his employee so I’m not paying another $30 when I’m still in a trail period and it wasn’t our fault the outfit was the wrong size?! I also asked if this class was different because she didn’t do sparring on Monday. He instantly became loud and rude and said we must pay $30 now or leave and don’t come back! At this point I was ok with leaving but another gentleman who worked there came over to help. I explained to him this was only our second class and the outfit was given to us, I paid for it on Monday and I’m not sure what’s going on. He responded very kindly and said if she’s comfortable in the outfit she can stay and we can work it out later. He then went back to the rude instructor and said she’s going to stay. Again, he responds very loud and yells “she no stay she pay $30 for outfit or leave!” The other instructor tried to tell him my daughter was comfortable in the outfit and wants to stay, he tried so hard to calm him down and make sure my daughter took the class. Now, we’re holding up the class which isn’t my intention and the guy is getting yelled at. So I said it’s no problem we will leave. I’m confused, he’s yelling, and hard to understand. Fridays class experience was night and day from Mondays experience! The gentleman apologized and asked if I could come back Monday (next week) so he could look into things and straighten it out. We left and will absolutely not come back. On Monday I was ready to sign up on the spot but now it’s a hard pass. It’s not ok to talk to anyone like that especially when nothing was really explained in the first place. I didn’t even know I was supposed to pay the initial $30 until I arrived on Monday so to ask for another $30 on Friday was crazy ! In regards to the discipline that was being taught I’ll give it 5 stars because I was so impressed with the kids in the class. In regards to the organization, tone of the main instructor, communication, and customer experience - 1 star all day.
