★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My 5 year old son has been attending Ian Lauer’s Kenpo Karate class for about 4 months now and I cannot say enough good things about the class and instructors. It has taught him how to be strong physically and mentally, respect, motivation, and focus, while also making friends his own age and learning constructive criticism from the great instructors. It can be nerve wracking having your kid try something new as a parent, but Ian treated us like family right from the start with amazing communication about every detail and encouragement towards my son. It was nice being able to trial the class for free before we committed, too. I highly recommend Kenpo Karate for kids 🙂
July 07 · Andrea SlateSince starting Kenpo Karate with Ian Lauer, our son's confidence has grown tremendously. Ian is firm yet kind - pushing the kids to be their best while making them feel supported. Our son leaves every class feeling proud of himself. He has been there a little over a month and has already earned his first stripe! It truly is a great environment.
August 13 · AmandaWe are so happy that we joined this karate class. We have tried numerous activies/sports (soccer, gymnastics, dance, swimming etc.) and this one is by far the best. It is structured so that there is no downtime during sessions. Even though the class runs for 30 minutes twice a week, the students are active from beginning to end. They learn new skills and practice getting better each week. I like how students are expected to be respectful during class and harness discipline while engaging with the instructors. Ian Lauer is great at what he does. He is patient but also firm with students. He is helpful and communicative with parents. I can't say enough positive things about this class.

The instructors, especially Ian Lauer are incredibly hands-on and truly care about each child. They go above and beyond to keep kids engaged, motivated, and supported. It’s a positive, encouraging environment where kids thrive! Not just in martial arts, but in focus and self-esteem. I’m so grateful for what my son has learned here. I highly recommend Kenpo Karate to any parent looking for a place where their child can grow and succeed!
July 07 · Alexes DiamondEnrolling our son in this karate program has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for him. As a naturally shy child who struggles with trying new activities, we were initially concerned about how he would adapt. However, Ian’s ability to recognize and cater to each child’s individual needs has made all the difference. His thoughtful approach creates an environment where every student feels valued and supported. Since joining, our son has become more confident and finds it easier to make friends. We are incredibly grateful for Ian’s dedication and the positive impact he has had on our child’s growth.
