★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We joined the Dojo the first week of March for a two week trial….3 classes in and our 4yr old was hooked ( so was Dad 🤣) We love that we have been welcomed by everyone we come across…parents, children and eachSensei. Our child often talks about the Senseis (sp) at home and loves to practice what he learns each day. This is a very welcoming community, we love the expectations put in place in class and the follow through with respect and kindness when those expectations aren’t being met. The class is taught at a very age appropriate level, lots of repetition and some silliness thrown in! We are now in it for the long haul, at least for the next year! Can’t wait to see all the good that comes with it!!Thanks
March 21 · Jenny QuigginWe absolutely love The Grappler Station! From the very beginning—previewing a session, through the 14-week trial, and now into our daughter’s first official week of classes—the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The senseis have been incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially with our 4-year-old daughter who had a harder time adjusting. They were so patient, allowing her to sit on the mat and observe at her own pace, always checking in when she stepped away, and even giving her a special purple dot to sit on to help her feel included.Their attentiveness and care, especially with the more nervous kids, is something truly special. They make the lessons fun, engaging, and confidence-building. We’ve already seen such a difference in our daughter—she even raised her hand to teach the class a move! We’re so grateful for this space and can’t wait to see how she continues to grow. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a supportive and empowering martial arts environment for their child!
July 19 · Mai LeeMy 7 year old daughter has been at Grappler Station for almost a year, and our family loves it. Sensei Max knows every child's name, and he and the other senseis are great role models and teachers. Our daughter is learning confidence, hard work and respect, and I'm always impressed with Max's incorporation of these principles into classes. We're so happy to be a part of the Grappler Station community.
March 28 · Megan RischallI dropped in at Grappler Station while visiting MN and had an awesome experience. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and encouraging throughout the class. The energy was positive and motivating, and the instruction was detailed and practical. I learned some new techniques that I hadn’t seen before, and appreciated how useful they were. The instructor was especially helpful, offering hands-on guidance and making sure everyone was getting the details right. The space itself was spotless and really well set up. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to train!
May 07 · Katelyn TrentalangeI've been training in martial arts for a long time and recently decided to add Judo and Jiu-Jitsu to my practice. When I first stopped by The Grappler Station, I spoke with Sensei Max—he was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions with no pressure or hidden fees as I’ve experienced at other gyms I looked at. His honesty stood out; he genuinely wanted to share the gym’s knowledge with me.After doing a trial, I was blown away by the welcoming community—from the highly skilled and accomplished coaching staff to the friendly gym members. As an adult student, I’ve been loving the training here, and I also have a few friends with kids in their programs who are having a great time as well. The gym offers excellent training resources, a well-structured schedule, and plenty of class time slots, making it easy to stay consistent and fit training into any routine.I highly recommend The Grappler Station—whether you're new to Judo or Jiu-Jitsu, looking to take your skills to the next level, or just visiting and need a great place to train!
