What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a martial arts school is a significant decision, and Choi’s Martial Arts presents a mixed but ultimately compelling case. On one hand, some past students have raised serious concerns about billing practices and customer service responsiveness. These accounts, while negative, highlight the importance of clear communication and careful management of one’s account. It is always wise for prospective members to inquire about policies, contracts, and billing procedures upfront.
However, it is equally important to consider the positive experiences that paint a different picture. Many students, including those who have achieved advanced ranks, speak highly of the quality of instruction and the sense of community. The mentorship from instructors like Master Leo and Grandmaster Choi is frequently cited as a major positive, with students expressing that the school felt like a "second home." This sense of belonging and the personal transformation described by long-term students—becoming a "better person" through perseverance—speaks volumes about the school's potential to foster character development.
The school’s focus on the values of martial arts, beyond the physical training, is a key selling point. The journey to a black belt is often difficult, and the fact that students power through and make "so many memories along the way" underscores the school's ability to build resilience. For those who are willing to persevere through challenges, both in training and in administrative matters, the rewards in terms of personal growth and skill development can be substantial. The availability of a trial class offers a perfect no-risk way to assess the school for oneself before making a long-term commitment.
In conclusion, Choi’s Martial Arts offers a comprehensive and deeply rooted Taekwondo program in Fremont, CA. It provides a structured path for personal development for both children and adults. While it is important to be aware of the varied experiences of past customers, the core of what the school offers—high-quality instruction, a supportive community, and a commitment to personal growth—remains a powerful draw for anyone in the Bay Area looking to begin or continue their martial arts journey.

Choi's Martial Arts Reviews
I am extremely disappointed with Choi's Martial Arts and feel compelled to share my negative experience. My son used to attend classes here, but the studio's notorious billing practices and poor customer service have left a lasting negative impression.Despite providing written notice that I was stopping classes and pulling my son out, they continued to charge me for three additional months. This is not an isolated incident but a clear pattern of unethical behavior. I have heard similar complaints from other parents as well.Their responsiveness is abysmal. I had to constantly follow up and send multiple emails—up to ten—just to get a response. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that doesn't prioritize its customers.I would not recommend Choi's Martial Arts to anyone. Save yourself the headache and find a more reputable and customer-friendly Martial Arts studio for your child.
August 04 · Kunal JaggiI was a first degree black belt when I left this place but this place is the best in my opinion. I loved the teachers (master Leo and grandmaster Choi) there. It felt like a second home to me and I truly feel like I have become a better person than I started. It took a lot of perseverance because many people started to quit when it started getting tough, but if you simply keep her head high and strong you are going to power through it and make so many memories along the way. This place is an amazing place and I would 10/10 recommend going here.
August 02 · Rupal KhandelwalEven though I stopped at Blue Belt, I really loved what they taught me. I felt like a black belt because Jr. Master Leo and Grand Master Choi always challenges me to do sparring and it was SOOOOOOOOO fun!!!
July 18 · Justin KThis is a great Tae Kwon Do school, helped my son with his focus and patients
