August 07 · Devin SingletaryJust wrapped up my first month at Chicago Muay Thai Kickboxing Club. The facility is clean, spacious, and has a legit 16 ft boxing ring. Over 50 classes a week, so scheduling is a breeze. Instructors are top-notch—knowledgeable, patient, and push you to your limits. The community vibe is welcoming, whether you're a newbie or experienced. Only downside: parking can be tricky during peak hours. Overall, a great place to train and get in shape.
May 01 · Ari NguyenIf you are serious about learning/improving your Muay Thai, Chicago Muay Thai (CMT) is an excellent gym. Classes are offered from 7 AM through 7:30 pm Monday through Friday and from mornings through afternoons on weekends. CMT instructors have many years of championship experience and will help students correct their form during and after class. This gym is unique because you can attend separate classes to target specific areas of weakness (for example, separate classes for fundamentals, boxing, sparring, yoga, etc.) This is also a great gym for building physical fitness, stamina, work ethic, and discipline. Whatever your skill level coming in, there are many resources to help you improve with the added bonus of traditional Thai culture (Bowing in/out of class) which is an important part of the sport. Highly recommend Chicago Muay Thai (CMT).
May 27 · Cyrus SadeghiWell my name is on here so I’m just going to say my thought about this gym. CMT is an amazing Muai Thai gym, I’ve trained many martial arts my whole life and in many places. It is truly a temple of martial art knowledge and I only wish I could have been there hundreads more days. The things I learned there are pure gold and in truth absolutely priceless, like them or not the coaches/trainers have incredible methodology and knowledge. With this being said, not a single time I walked into cmt did I feel respected overall. I am not going to go into detail on this but I was also a coach for two years in sport, and some attitudes I found very unnecessary, with again feeling of lack of respect. Maybe it was just me, maybe being quiet and unsocial when I was there caused this. Regardless it is an amazing gym and if you are looking to learn muai Thai, the pinnacle of combat sport then I could not recommend it more to anyone, everywhere I went I talked to people about how good this place is truly I was in awe since the first time I walked into there. Wish I could had been there moreLastly I would like to thank Alex who is an absolutely incredible teacher and martial artist. Jon as well.I wouldn’t have written the anterior part on this review from halfway across the world where I live, but whoever the admin is of the cmt instagram knows why I did do this.Thank you cmt and coaches
August 01 · Stefan PaunovicThis is THE place to train if you’re looking to do Muay Thai for fun or compete. The coaches are the best in Chicago. They actually correct your technique and care about what you’re doing. The classes are well thought out and are very cohesive across all the board. Each coach has a different style and offers constructive thoughtful coaching. They carry themselves with professionalism and actually care about you as a student. The best part about the gym other than the amazing team is the variety of class hours. They have morning, mid morning, afternoon, evening classes which is super helpful since my schedule changes weekly. This place is a 100/10 stars!
