Champions Way Martial Arts Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I HIGHLY recommend Champions Way for Kids, Adults and everyone in between. I've been going for about 8 months and my son for nearly a year. (Update..We've now been there 3 years and still love it!) They have a taekwondo program (mainly for the kiddos) and a kajukenbo program (for adults and older teens).Back in March of 2021 we enrolled my then 5 year old son into the Taekwondo program for kids his age, called "Little Champions". He had just completed the highest level at "Kidstrong and was getting bored with it so we knew he needed something more challenging. It has taught him to have more focus, safety awareness (stranger danger), self confidence and of course how to defend himself in a worst case situation. There are plenty of other benefits such as hand-eye coordination, self-control, balance, respect, etc. After a few months and liking what I saw, I decided to sign myself up for adult classes as I had a desire to get into better shape and it's amazing how well Grand Master/Professor Miller can switch between the expectations in a class of kindergarteners to a class of adults. They clearly are two different sets of expectations when it comes to behavior, performance etc., but he does it so effortlessly and I always feel like I learn something from each lesson. If you have a desire to get your kids into something like this, then I'd definitely come check them out. Also if you are an adult looking for something more out of your training ( I was previously in Judo and Jiu Jitsu but wasn't feeling like it was well rounded enough to actually protect my family or myself in a real world altercation) I highly recommend coming to a class and checking it out.The dojang (name for TKD facility) itself is not "fancy", it's a commercial warehouse/office space type of setup, but don't let that turn you off. The instructor is TOP NOTCH. I might be misquoting here, but I believe he is an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 8th degree black belt in Kajukenbo (the program I am enrolled in) and a 1st degree black belt in Jui Jitsu. He has been training for decades and is able to translate the experience directly to his students in a way that makes sense and is simple to implement. They also have a very nice app on the phone that helps you review moves at home with your kiddo (or yourself) so it's not restricted to classroom learning only. Your able to learn the lesson in class and then review at home if you like. One final note...the adult class size is small. I've been to other BJJ schools and there are 30+ students. It's not like that here for adults classes.
March 28 · Russell SpillersNot all martial arts schools are created equal and this is a true gem of a school that is well worth going out of your way to attend. The integrity and humility of the instructors is hard to find and there is absolutely no question about their pedigree. Definitely legit. Top notch across the board for kids and adults.
June 27 · Jordan FeldmanGrand Master Chris Miller is an amazing instructor who not only teaches quality taekwondo to this kids/young adults but also provides them with the discipline, structure and confidence skills they will need all throughout life. So fortunate we found Grand Master Chris and this studio, once again he’s truly amazing with these kids!
April 25 · Brian TrumbullOur son has been going to Champion's Way Tae Kwon Do for almost 2 years and he loves it. The Miller's (owners/instructors) are phenomenal people and instructors. They truly care about what is best for every child. This is one of the most culturally diverse schools I have ever seen. It is an amazing thing to enter a place where love and respect are fostered above all else. I highly recommend Champion's Way to anyone looking for a martial arts school.
March 10 · Pamela HernandezI myself trained in Martial Arts off/on for almost 30 years. The instructors I had set a high bar for the quality of person I would want to train my 6 year old son in attitude, quality, schedule availablity, and cost.I have to say that Champion's Way has fit the bill in all categories. The instructors are great with the kids (and adults from what I've seen) by understanding they are still young, but also understanding you can expect a lot from a youngster!I appreciate also that the advanced rank juniors work right along with the adult instructors. It sets a great example for the lower rank juniors and sets the advanced juniors up for success as they get older and expectations change for them as well.I would highly recommend Champion's Way to anyone looking for a good training school.
