August 06 · Samantha GeibIf I could give this place zero stars, I would. I paid $125 for a lesson as I love karate and wanted to start it up again since I haven't done it in several years. I first observed one of the classes, and found myself interested in this dojo, however, the class that I was put into as my first class was NOT karate. They started doing martial arts fighting when I clearly signed up for a beginner karate class. The activities that they had me doing were not what I signed up for at ALL. They put my in different positions that hurt my shoulder badly and was left with bruises for days. I am less than 5 feet tall and they paired me with the biggest people in the dojo. They then had a "free for all" at the end of the class where everyone just attacked each other. I was very upset with this and wanted a refund, but all I got was $25 back. They claimed I got makeup on my Gi so they had to resell it as used when I paid $37 for it. I can understand that part but they never said that I could not wear makeup, especially since I used to wear it to my old dojo. Overall, very upset with this dojo and I am still out $100. Signed up for a beginner karate class and got beat up.
