★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Both my kids (girl, now age 10, and boy, now age 8) have been taking kung fu classes at Yang's for almost two years. Mr. Fazzio is the best and, along with the older students who are empowered to assist him in the classroom, he has helped my kids mature, focus, and find balance (physical and emotional). Plus they now have a great appreciation for Chinese history, language and culture, and I love the family atmosphere. I, too, take tai chi classes at Yang's and can attest to getting many of the same benefits (focus, calm, balance, etc.). I can't recommend Yang's enough!!
November 01 · Dara ObbardMy wife and I have been taking Tai Chi at Yangs since the start of the year and can't say enough good things about the experience. Alex is an incredible instructor and everyone we have met in the classes have been super helpful and supportive for people (like me) who were just trying this for the first time. If this is something you've never tried before, I would highly recommend it.
June 18 · Ron RappelTop notch instruction! I studied tai chi for years when I lived in New York but never took the time to find a new instructor when I moved to the Boston area for a job in 1998. Recently I retired from my hectic career and decided it was time to get back into tai chi. I was delighted to discover that a student of the famous Yang Jwing-Ming (the gold standard for tai chi instruction in the U.S.) teaches in Andover. I've now been training there for several months and it is everything I hoped for: instructors with deep expertise and the ability to explain what they are doing in clear English, a well-appointed facility, classes that move at a pace that feels right, and a cost that's affordable. I just finished the last summer class and I have already signed up for a fall class together with a seminar with Master Yang, who will be visiting here from California in September.
August 10 · Harley ManningThe tai chi (short form) class I took was great. My first attempt was thwarted after 3 classes due to covid and I was issued a refunded without even mentioning it. Alex really has a great consideration for the comfort level and abilities of the students taking the class, and really tries to accommodate and provide support for each student whether they're beginners or experienced. It's a casual atmosphere even though Alex and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and qualified in the art.I plan on going back for the beginner's long form class.
June 25 · Neal DriscollI have been sending my two daughters to YMA (Yang's Martial Arts) ever since they were five years old. They are both teenagers now. YMA has built a very positive community of children. My daughters have developed friendships there that have lasted. The kids at Yang's are great kids. The training that YMA provides has helped them with both their self confidence and their self respect. These are life lessons that they will always carry. YMA pays attention to both the physical and the mental side of Kung Fu. My daughters look forward to their weekly classes. The quality of the training at the YMA exceeds my expectations. While a Vietnamese friend was visiting me, he reviewed videos of the routines that my daughters performed. He himself is a Vietnamese Kung Fu master. He informed me that the training is authentic and that Dr. Yang is one of the few true Grand Masters in the world. My friend strongly approved of what they learned. At YMA, they teach the real thing. I always knew that my daughters were experiencing something good at Yang's, I just did not know how good.
