★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve already formed a deep attachment to Kim Hiep Si and the Kim Hiep Si family and I haven’t even been training here for more than 6 months! Everyone is so welcoming and supportive. I appreciate the consistency of the instructors and the esteem to which they hold their students. They also foster a strong send of community, which is a detail that cannot be overlooked. I would absolutely recommend dropping in to their class sometime, if you’re curious. You won’t be disappointed.
June 09 · Haven HannaI have been in Cuong Nhu for most of my life: I started when I was 6 and I will be 24 at the end of this year. I’m from another school in Jacksonville, Florida but I know almost every single person in this school personally and am honored to call them my family. They are all the most amazing, selfless people I’ve ever gotten to meet. Knowledgeable instructors, committed students… you won’t just get a physical workout, you’ll get a mental one and you’ll find yourself finding a family within them. Everytime I get to see them, I’m always greeted with smiles, hugs, and laughter. No matter who you are or where you come from, you will have a place with them. Start for the hard workouts…. but you’ll stay because of the friendships you’ll build. I’ll always be thankful that I have them in my life!! It may be scary to start but I promise you that it’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made.
January 17 · georgia bordelonThe best place to get a workout and learn traditional martial arts. Plenty of instructors to help you perfect the moves. Everyone is super kind. Even a master in the form and that's not a common thing at most schools. I've been a student for a while and I've lost 50 pounds since starting and my flexibility is way better. I also have a health condition and everyone is supper understanding and work with me to overcome any obstacles to advance. Give it a try!
January 06 · James McGollieNew location for a martial arts school that's been in the Orlando area for a long time. I've been training with this group of martial artists for almost 6 years now, and I've never met a more welcoming, friendly, and supportive sort of people. The curriculum is largely self-defense oriented, with special emphasis placed on physical fitness and mental wellbeing (philosophy). Unlike some other styles I've seen, the style taught here is focused on the individual, prioritizing personal growth at an individual's pace over rapid promotion. As such, the group here is diverse, drawing in people with varying backgrounds, ages, and personalities, all united in their passion for the martial arts. What keeps me coming back to this martial arts group in particular is the wonderful sense of community and belonging. We regularly network with other dojos, both in FL and nationally, for training events, as well as partner with local organizations to volunteer and give back to others. What comes from that is everyone in the style feels like family. Everyone has a place here, and whether you're just interested in a good workout, finding a supportive community, or looking deeper and instilling a sense of discipline, don't be afraid to stop by and say "hi!"
