★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been training at UVSD for two months now, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Whether you’re a beginner or have years of experience, this gym is an amazing place to train.Coming from another gym, I was initially worried about fitting in, but the community here is incredibly warm, welcoming, and supportive. UVSD embraces everyone—from kids to seniors—creating an environment that values growth, respect, and encouragement.I followed Coach Archie from my previous gym, and his technical expertise in boxing has helped me tremendously. Each class at UVSD increases both my skill and enjoyment. Coach Jay excels at tailoring his knowledge to each student’s strengths and style, making training even more effective.Owner and head coach Kent is deeply passionate about what he teaches and who he teaches. His style of running a combat gym is one of the best I’ve experienced, he fosters an inclusive and comfortable atmosphere where no one feels like they have something to prove or need to fear the other person they’re training with. He’s approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping everyone become their best.I highly recommend UVSD to anyone looking for a welcoming and high-quality training environment.

May 17 · Ashley ColesI can’t say enough good things about UVSD. The instructors, programming, and personal attention are excellent. Getting a n shape is hard! But UVSD is encouraging and supportive. After two months I have already experienced improved confidence, self-esteem, and fitness. Something else I greatly appreciate are the friendships made with classmates. Everyone is welcoming and encouraging.
February 18 · Dave GuymonToday was the first class I have taken that can actually prepare me for danger. I left feeling empowered! I am not hurt or sore but feeling confident! Thank you to the students that gave me help and guidance in a kind way. I watched Liz teach teens and wished I was taught that. Also Kent ty for actually listening and validating my feelings and fears. I left feeling confident and hope! Thank you everyone!!! You are better than family.... 🩷❤️🩷
March 25 · Sariah KolbThe quality of services received did not match the prices:-Forms are sloppy and not corrected-Priced don't reflect hours promised due to a large number of cancelations by the instructor's each month-disruption occurs often with the instructor's children-switching the classes to online when instructor's cant make it shouldn't be counted as a paid class when an in-class session was what was purchased.-Pleasing one client over another leaves a bad taste as wellGood luck 👍Edit: this is a review from my teenaged son not small children thank you. Claiming this was written a whole year after leaving as an excuse is telling. I am allowed to write a review of our experiences at any time I wish and am allowed to change it as I feel. My perception of services met is my right as an American. Thank you for your feigned concern voicemail you left Kent. That was a nice touch of switching to the victim after providing such services 👌
