★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We LOVE the Utah Karate Institute!! Mike, the owner, is AMAZING!! He's a great Sensei, he's mastered the craft, he's great with the kids & parents, he connects with the kids through laughter & instruction & genuinely cares about each & every one of them even when it comes to personal matters with the kids at home. Right now, smaller class sizes, sanitization of equipment & facility, frequent use of hand sanitizer for himself & the kids, social distancing the viewing area too. Thx Mike!!! 💝😁
June 30 · Heidi GuyMy kids and I have been taking classes at UKI for a few years now and it has been a very positive experience. The owner, Mike Burke, has been a great mentor for my kids and has been easy to work with as an adult student. We will continue taking classes here and working towards our goals. I recommend UKI for any parent looking to find an outlet for their children, where they can learn structure, discipline, and responsibility, while also having a lot of fun and developing valuable skills.
January 29 · Derick TurnerI started going there in 2013. I loved it and worked hard until I received my first degree black belt in 2016. Then I left for the next 8 years where I served a mission for my church, went to school, got married and started my career.Eventually life brought my wife and I back to Ogden. I had a strong feeling that I should go back to Karate. So I did. Everyone there received me with open arms. Mike Burke remembered me by name despite how long it had been. Been there since and now I’m working on getting my second degree black belt. This place and these people have taught me things I couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s so good here that even after 8 years away, I’ve decided to come back. If you want to grow, come here. I promise it will be hard, but fun and meaningful.
January 29 · Porter McDonaldIf there is a finer, more comprehensive, more fun karate instruction in the United States— I’d like to see it!Mike Burke and his dedicated, amazing staff at Utah Karate Institute have programs tailored to every level of instruction: from the beginner to most advanced and anywhere in between. I could not be happier with the results we’ve seen with our son who has been a student for over a year.
April 10 · Lynn ScaddenUtah Karate Institute is wonderful! Mr. Burke, the sensei, is one of the best teachers of kids and teenagers I’ve ever met. The perfect balance of discipline and encouragement.
