For those of us in the Happy Valley and Portland metropolitan area, finding a meaningful activity for our children that provides more than just physical exercise is a top priority. U.S. World Class Taekwondo Association stands out as a martial arts school that truly understands this need. It's not just a place to learn kicks and punches; it's a dedicated community focused on building character, confidence, and discipline in its students. The school has a reputation for being exceptionally welcoming and inclusive, with instructors who are highly committed to the individual growth of every child. This focus on personal development, both on and off the mat, makes it a valuable resource for local families.
The positive experiences of local families are the best evidence of the school's impact. One parent, whose son is on the mild spectrum with ADHD, shared their initial anxiety about finding a suitable class. They spoke highly of the staff, who "reassured me and made me feel I could give it a shot." This trust was well-placed, as both of their children are now "so happy and they love coming to class because they make it fun for them while teaching discipline." This parent couldn't speak more highly of the way the instructors handle situations, redirecting their son "with kindness and care." This personalized attention ensures every child feels "included and seen in class."
Another parent, who enrolled their children at the beginning of the COVID crisis, trusts the staff so much that they call them "the exception" to the rule of who they trust their children with. They described the environment as "an excellent learning environment" where the staff are "always very respectful." These testimonials reflect the school’s dedication to providing a safe, supportive, and effective learning space for all students. The focus on discipline, respect, and confidence is a recurring theme, showing that the benefits of the programs extend far beyond the physical realm.

US World Class Taekwondo Association Reviews
I’ve been searching around for a class that would fit for both my almost 5 yr old daughter and my 7 year old son. I am full of anxiety when I take my kids to a new class as I am very cautious because my son is on the mild spectrum and has adhd so at times he can be a bit disruptive. I’ve taken him to some other places and they did not know how to work with him and made him feel awful. Before signing them up I dropped in to have a talk to see if they were familiar with working with kids like him. They reassured me and made me feel I could give it a shot so I signed both my kids up.This was the best decision I could make because both my kids are so happy and they love coming to class because they make it fun for them while teaching discipline. My son giggles through the workouts and anytime he needs help they redirect him with kindness and care. I can’t speak for anyone else but for myself this class has helped me feel at ease that I made the right decision in helping my children find something that is emotionally, mentally, and physically beneficial to them. In just a short time I’ve seen some changes in my son when it comes to self discipline and behavior. I couldn’t imagine anyone giving them a bad review because every class I go to just seeing them interact with all the kids amazes me. Everyone here is very nice as well and makes every single child feel included and seen in class. I would highly recommend this location to anyone
May 18 · Annie GaoI started taking my children in the beginning of the covoid crisis, my children enjoy the instruction very much, staff are always very respectful. It's been an excellent learning environmet, for them,,. I don't trust my children with too many people. They're the exception.
December 13 · Jacob ColemanLiterally the most rigged tournament that has referee’s clicking the score button for traditional taekwondo like they’re playing mortal combat or something. Super long delay and 4 rings in a facility that could have had 8. The only reason this has 1 star is because the Oregon convention center is nice but the tournament this year was an absolute shat show:
March 10 · Johnny LawrenceI can not stress how annoying it is to purchase classes online (with a schedule provided so you can see if it fits your schedule or not) and then go in and have a completely different schedule offered. When asked how I could receive a refund (because I can not work with the "new" class schedule) he said he had no idea. Incredibly frustrating. It has now been almost 4 months, ive talked to 3 people on the phone and sent 11 emails and still have not received a refund. Update: it took 6 months to get my money back and I had to take time out of my life to go get it during very specific hours. Heaven forbid they MAIL IT TO ME or refund me the way I paid, electronically online. I wish I could give this place negative stars. Worst company ever.
March 08 · ALMy son has been a part of the World Class Taekwondo family for over a year now. The after school program is amazing. Staff is great. Happy to have found them.
