★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We absolutely love this karate school! My 5-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter both attend, my daughter has attended since she was 4-years old. the positive impact has been incredible. They've grown so much in confidence, focus, and self-control since starting. The instructors are amazing—patient, encouraging, and great at connecting with kids of all ages and personalities.Classes are the perfect mix of structure, discipline, and fun. My kids are always excited to go, and they come home proud of what they've learned. The leadership program really emphasizes respect, responsibility, and communication, which shows up in how my kids behave at home and school. This is more than just a karate studio —it’s a supportive, character-building community. Highly recommend to any family looking for a great martial arts program!
July 29 · Tara labargeMy 9 year old son attends this class. I think it has been really good for him getting him active and also helping focus and discipline. He is also in the leadership program which is great for his social skills and learning the basics. The program is also pretty accommodating with a variety of times that he can attend, providing that I work a 9-5 job. He is happy at this place and I have been seening great improvements in him.
May 06 · Krystal CenacI'm happy with my decision to become part of the U.S. Budokai family for many reasons (I had a review where I focused on Zoom classes during Covid, but I want to amend that review now to reflect my experience in 2023). 1st, I enjoy learning as a student in classes that are available frequently enough to make class attendance work no matter what changes occur to my schedule. This enhances the value of my membership because I can personalize my training as needed to suit my learning goals, be it mastering basics or giving back by assisting with classes. 2nd, this is a great place for families to come together and improve their health, happiness, and fitness. My kid is old enough now that I have enrolled my kid in the Tiny Tigers program. We're one of many families who have this long term relationship with US Budokai Karate. As a final point, whether you're looking here for you or a family member or friend, the warmth and consistent high-quality instruction we offer from tiny tigers through our adult and golden lion classes means that you will feel respected and valued here. This is a great school, all are welcome, and we'd love for you to start or continue your martial arts journey with us.
August 04 · Joshua WWe LOVE U.S. Budokai Karate in Clifton Park. We have been there for almost a year with our daughter and it’s incredible to see her transformation. She has developed not only karate skills, but confidence, strength and control of her body, better focus at home and school, less anxiety, and most importantly, friendships.
November 06 · Heather & Adam ZakAmazing martial arts school- we previously tried Clifton Park Pai’s TKD and although the presentation was good my 9 year old boy grew tired of it quickly- it was too loud for him and not enough moving around and the classes were huge and the instructors were not as helpful by comparison. Then we came to US budokai— my son loves it here as do I — there (At least now) is no contract (Pais I had to sign a 6 month contract and even after I cancelled had to pay off 3 additional months for canceling early ) and the rate (as of now ) is 150 a month for 3 classes a week with a variety of different times to choose from— Pais didn’t have as many options for times during the week that beginners could participate in and they were more expensive at 169 a month. My son is a multi sport athlete doing hockey and lacrosse so a flexible schedule with multiple times to attend is very important to us.My son said he likes it because it’s not as loud and you get to live around more as opposed to waiting in line to do a certain move. The layout the way each student has a wave master punching/kicking bag they use also the student creed — my son already knows how to count to 10 in Japanese and he just started about a month ago. They also have sparring gear that you buy when or soon after you sign up_ the moves and self defense he is learning seems to be a lot more helpful in possible real world conflict type situations if my son had to defend himself. Also they are patient which I love— my son has ADHD and dyslexia and can be quite wobbly when doing moves— they are showing him the importance of correct form in a nice gentle way— he is already improving. He has already stuck with US Budokai longer than his short time at Pais. He already told me he wants to earn his. Lack belt with US budokai.Love it here highly recommend checking it outOsu!
