★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Temple of Kung fu is a sacred place to learn the powers of Kung Fu, Taoism and self discovery. For anyone who needs to up their personal self worth, leadership skills or business acumen this is the place for them. Adults looking for a change in self confidence, this is the path on the North Shore. Sifu is dedicated to being your motivational support and backbone when things in life get rough. I am grateful this place has existed and continues to be a center for people going through heaven or hell and need to make sure they are on the right path.
October 07 · Larry HappyTemple of Kung Fu is incredible. I am learning so much in the short time I have been a participant. Excellent instructors who implement training in a thoughtful way. Highly recommend.
January 16 · Michael AdamsI have been practicing Kungfu at the temple since Jan 2019. I am coming up on 3 years. I still love it and continue to grow. Since then, I have lost 60Lbs and cured type II diabetes and eliminated high cholesterol. This was my intended goal and Sifu and Tom were instrumental in helping me reach my goals. But the Temple of Kungfu is more than that. It's about personal growth, being your best self, mentally, spiritually and physically. Your Kungfu travels with you. The Taoist lessons learned apply to everyday life. I am equipped with an array of skills and tools that I apply daily. It's about learning who you are, what you can achieve and constantly setting new goals for yourself. The Temple is about growing into the best version of yourself. After spending years in the health club, I can honestly say, I can never go back. I learn at the Temple and practice daily at home. Sifu has given me an arsenal of knowledge and techniques to work on. Depending on what I feel I need to work on I practice; Qigong forms, Tai Chi, Splashing Hands, Hsing-I and meditation, Shih Shui. In the near future, I will look forward to learning some Bagua as well as more advanced techniques. All-the-while healing the mind, body and spirit. If you are serious about your health and want the tools to mitigate stress and be a happier person then I highly recommend Kungfu and the Temple.
November 23 · Tim P. (Zevlin)When I first came to The Temple of Kung Fu I could tell there was something fundamentaly different than other martial arts schools, there were no trophies in the windows, and nobody was wearing a belt, Sifu didn't tell me about all his triumphs as a martial artist, but rather talked about the students he helped. Everyone there was very relaxed and happy, unlike other schools where many people seem angry and agressive. I had been doing martial arts for over a decade, and I thought I was a good fighter, but I found myself instantly overwhelmed in sparring by even the beginner students. The mentality, way of movement, athletic and health benefits are unlike any other, and I cannot recommend this school enough.
June 26 · Sunny AshmanI love this place. Having never learned any martial arts in my life, I was nervous, but the instructors here are patient and encouraging. The school community is very welcoming and positive. Everyone is at different levels, and it is really exciting to get sneak peeks into all the things there are to learn. The health benefits are ridiculous. After 5 months, I lost 45 pounds, and where I used to feel anxious and sad, I now feel very level. I’m also generally less stiff from all the flowing movement and more flexible.I came for Qi Gong but have also earned a yellow belt (so far) in Splashing Hands, and have had the opportunity to explore bits of Chinese meditation, Tai Chi, Hsing-I, Tien Gunn and more. If you don’t know what those are, rest assured, I didn’t either. Sifu and Tom do a great job of breaking everything down into digestible parts.I have tried a number of physical activities and always got bored with the repetition. Kung fu is different. There is always a next level to reach or another layer to peel, and that keeps me interested and engaged.Lastly, Sifu teaches concepts of Chinese philosophy, including Taoism, as he teaches the mechanics of kung fu, and the fact is, these philosophies follow us out of the practice of martial arts and meditation and into our daily lives. The whole experience changes each person in a very special way.Plus, the look on people’s faces in other parts of my life when I talk about kung fu training is pretty fabulous.
