★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My kids have been learning Taekwondo at Tae Ryong for 1.5 years and I couldn't be more than happy. The instructors are really kind and amazing and the kids can learn how to respect others. They also can do really good exercise and learn self defense with very safe environment. Since my kids have been learning Taekwondo from here, their self esteem is getting higher and be more confident but at the same time they've been learning about how to be polite and respect others. Highly recommend!
February 07 · Sohee KimI highly recommend Tae Ryong Taekwondo. Our boys joined in 2007 (ages 5 and 7) and then my husband and I joined a couple months later! Our whole family attained our black belts together! I’ve not come across anything before or since where we could be engaged and participate with our kids in this way. Our boys learned respect, discipline and how to exceed their own limits. My husband and I found a group exceptional people that have become life long friends with. We are still kicking through our fifties and into the future. This place is priceless!
March 17 · Dulcie HorwitzMy eldest son has been a part of the Tae Ryong Taekwondo family since he was four (starting in the little dragons) and he is now almost nine. He just earned his second degree red belt and he has never been more dedicated. We also have our youngest enrolled, he has been in for a couple of years and he especially enjoys the sparring. Taekwondo gives them something to look forward to, something important for them to achieve based on their own skills and passion. The Masters at Tae Ryong Thousand Oaks care about the kids and their success. Taekwondo teaches the kids focus, accountability and the meaning of success.
June 15 · Elaine McFaddenMy three sons have been a part of the Tae Ryong family for over a year. I have seen them grow and develop not only physically (strength, coordination, balance) but also mentally (confidence, mindfulness, perseverance, focus, mental flexibility). The masters are truly amazing and are skilled in helping all kinds of children, both neurotypical and neurodivergent. They also have a great sense of humor during their lessons that is appreciated by both parents and kids! This studio is clean and conveniently located. There is a Whole Foods market in the same parking lot, so you can get a coffee and snack then sit in the studio to watch your children. I am so glad that we joined, and I know that Tae Ryong will continue to have a positive impact on my boys' lives for several years to come.
February 07 · Donna STae Ryong has been a part of our family now for 7 years now (wow!). We discovered Tae Ryong during our “back to school bash”- My son started at 5 and achieved his goal of being a black belt years later. While watching him all those years- I decided to join in on the fun and also achieved my goal of black belt (although I’m not done!!). Parents- get in there, you won’t be disappointed! My son and I recently started learning Kali (the newly offered Filipino martial art) and I can’t even tell you how much fun it is, you have to try it!Master Stolsig and Master Ocampo are such kind people and are constantly going out of their way to help people. They have created a great balance of fun while teaching respect and expectations. I hope to see all of you there!
