Seattle Kung Fu Club Introduce
Established in 1963, the Seattle Kung Fu Club is a true institution in the Washington martial arts community. More than just a school, it is a living legacy dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional Chinese martial arts. Under the guidance of Grandmaster John S.S. Leong, the club offers an authentic experience that goes beyond mere physical training. It is a place where students can learn self-defense, improve their health, and develop discipline, respect, and a deep sense of community.
The Seattle Kung Fu Club offers two primary styles: Hung Gar Kuen and Tai Chi Chuan. Hung Gar is a "hard" or external style known for its strong stances and powerful techniques, focusing on building strength, speed, and endurance. Tai Chi is a "soft" or internal style characterized by slow, graceful movements that enhance balance, agility, and concentration. This unique blend of disciplines provides a well-rounded approach to martial arts, catering to a diverse range of students.
The club is known for its incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructors, who provide a rigorous yet supportive learning environment. Students of all ages and skill levels train together, creating an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere. This communal spirit is a hallmark of the Seattle Kung Fu Club, where students are treated like an extended family. It is a place of absolute concentration and calm, allowing for a deep and meaningful connection to the practice.
Beyond the martial arts, the club also fosters cultural appreciation by teaching traditional Chinese lion and dragon dances and participating in frequent community events. This commitment to cultural enrichment and community service further distinguishes the Seattle Kung Fu Club as a valuable resource in the Seattle area, offering an experience that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit. It is a true treasure for anyone seeking an authentic entry into the world of Chinese martial arts.

Seattle Kung Fu Club Reviews
Took my 5yr old daughter here today for the 1st time. Had no idea what I was getting her into. Wasn't even sure she would like it or not. Well...the class was being taught by an incredibly patient, very knowledgeable, and very competent instructor (MJ). I got to meet Robin Leung, who is the son of the originator of Seattle Kung Fu club. My daughter simply LOVED it. She came home doing all the exercises, all the yells, etc. She came home to show her mother her new outfit, and was extremely excited to tell her mother all about it.We will definitely be attending this class for years to come. I am exceedingly happy with today's experience. I highly recommend it.
