Savior Martial Arts Virginia Beach Introduce
For families in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and the surrounding communities, finding a summer camp or after-school program that provides more than just a place to be is a top priority. Savior Martial Arts is a premier destination that offers a unique blend of high-quality martial arts training and comprehensive care for children. While its name is centered on martial arts, it is also a trusted organizer of engaging summer camps and a vital after-school resource for busy parents. This facility is committed to a holistic approach, aiming to build not just physical strength but also essential life skills and strong character in its students. Everything they do, from their after-school program to their martial arts classes, is designed to help individuals succeed in all areas of life, grounded in core values.
The core of Savior Martial Arts' philosophy is to "Build Black Belts from the Inside out." This means their training goes far beyond physical skills, focusing on mentoring students and helping them develop confidence, discipline, and leadership. A parent's review beautifully illustrates this, stating, "The staff not only wants to see you succeed in Martial Arts but in core values for life. They genuinely care about you as people." This personal investment in each student's journey is a key differentiator. The parent also highlighted how their daughter learned "so much confidence and leadership skills" and is committed to becoming a black belt and a "good person." This kind of transformative experience is what many families in Virginia are looking for when they choose an activity for their children.
In addition to their martial arts training, Savior Martial Arts offers an extensive and highly-regarded after-school program. This program is a lifesaver for working parents, providing homework assistance and even transportation from local schools. It gives parents peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, educational, and loving environment. The program also serves as a "Virtual Learning Hub," demonstrating the academy's adaptability to modern educational needs. For school breaks, the day camps and spring and summer camps provide a fun and engaging alternative to a summer of screen time. These camps are filled with exciting activities and martial arts training, ensuring that kids stay active, learn valuable skills, and have a blast while doing so.
Savior Martial Arts Virginia Beach is conveniently located at 5351 Lila Ln, Virginia Beach, VA 23464, USA, making it easily accessible for residents across the city. The facility is equipped to be welcoming to all, with a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring all members of the community can comfortably visit and participate. The on-site amenities, including a restroom, contribute to a clean and well-maintained environment for students and families. The central location in Virginia Beach makes it a convenient hub for families seeking top-tier martial arts, after-school care, and summer camp programs. The business's commitment to accessibility and modern payment methods, including NFC mobile payments, credit cards, and debit cards, further enhances the customer experience.
The atmosphere at Savior Martial Arts is one of genuine care and positive encouragement. While the aformentioned reviews touch upon the excellent martial arts instruction and the positive impact on children's character, it's also important to acknowledge that every business has its challenges. One review raises concerns about the communication and business practices, suggesting that a lack of tact and genuine care was perceived when discussing a payment agreement. This perspective highlights the importance of clear communication and understanding from both sides of a business relationship. For a business that markets itself on Christian/Biblical principles, a high level of customer service and empathy is essential. While the vast majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive, this feedback serves as a reminder for prospective customers to be mindful of the service agreements they sign and to ask questions if they have them. However, it does not diminish the positive experiences of those who have seen their children thrive in the environment, learning critical life skills and building confidence. Many families find the academy's commitment to their child's success to be beyond expectations.

What is worth choosing this place?
For residents of Virginia, particularly in Virginia Beach, choosing an after-school program or summer camp is a significant decision. Savior Martial Arts stands out as a worthwhile choice for several compelling reasons. The most significant is the academy's commitment to building strong character in addition to martial arts skills. As one parent noted, the staff "genuinely care about you as people," which is a rare and invaluable quality. This focus on life skills and personal development is what truly sets the academy apart, providing a positive environment where children can not only learn self-defense but also grow into confident and respectful individuals. The fact that a child loves it so much they "would live there if she could" is the ultimate testament to the positive atmosphere and leadership.
Another major reason to choose Savior Martial Arts is the convenience and comprehensive nature of their offerings. The after-school program, complete with transportation from local schools and homework assistance, is a huge benefit for busy parents. This service provides peace of mind and ensures that a child's afternoon is both safe and productive. The availability of spring and summer camps also makes it a year-round resource for families, simplifying the process of finding engaging and structured activities during school breaks. While some reviews raise concerns about business practices and communication, it is important to consider the overall, overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the quality of instruction and the positive impact on students' lives. The reviews from families who have seen "huge improvement" in their children's behavior and confidence speak to the core mission of the academy. By choosing Savior Martial Arts, families are not just signing up for a class; they are joining a community that is dedicated to helping their children succeed in every aspect of their lives. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been going here for over a year now. It’s awesome! The staff not only wants to see you succeed in Martial Arts but in core values for life. They genuinely care about you as people. My daughter has learned so much confidence and leadership skills to help her for the rest of her life. Not to mention she is able to apply spiritual lessons to everyday situations. She is committed to becoming a black belt and strives to be a good person! You can’t ask for anything more.
December 01 · Gina DWe started my son here in early September. The owner's wife gave a poor impression with her unnecessary rudeness when we were first getting my son signed up; but I dismissed it in consideration of the bigger picture. Some unplanned shifts occurred in our household over these past few months, so I reached out to request that my son's account be removed from autopay as he will be taking a BREAK. I received a response, which I found to be quite interesting from an organization that markets itself as based in Christian/Biblical principles.I was told that there are 2 more monthly payments left in the agreement that I signed when my son started. With this, I have no issue because they're part of what I agreed to; but I had forgotten that there was an actual term attached to the payments when I sent the email requesting that the autopay be stopped. Here's what I found interesting:1) "tell me more of why he wants to quit?".Who said he was quitting? What I said is he'd be taking a BREAK.2) Any expression of care/consideration was negated by some other comment, which gives me the impression that the care/consideration expressed is insincere. For example: "I'm happy to help you however I can but the whole reason we write program agreements is to teach students commitment, and its the only way we can run a school like this. We just aren't a drop in recreational program."If you truly care, simply find out what's going on first to see if some accommodation can be made. And why jump to the conclusion that he is quitting when what I said is that he will be taking a break? Then to add further insult, I received absolutely no response to my reply to their email. To me, the email response lacked genuine care and consideration, as well as tact.Needless to say, my son won't be returning and I do not recommend.
March 15 · Cherie WheelerMy boys have been going to this dojo for 3.5 years and have earned their black belts since then. They have gained confidence, discipline, and courage! And all the senseis and coaches know each student by name.
November 30 · The King's PearlEverything appeared good for the first 6 months. Some instructors are great but others are careless and an accident did happen. We are happy to be recovering but it could have left permanent damage. We are no longer members here.
February 26 · Thomas YouI can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. I checked out other karate places before Savior Martial Arts, one of which is very well known in this area, and was very disappointed (expensive, lured us in with a "free lesson" that lasted only a couple minutes, while they cornered me in a small room pressuring me to sign a 5 yr contract at an unreasonably high price per month, etc). The atmosphere at Savior Martial Arts is positive and really puts Christian values in all they do. The staff cares about the students and encourages their healthy growth and development, not only in karate but in life. They really do build the "whole person" and not just karate instruction. The price is very reasonable and you get way more than your money's worth. My son's confidence, self esteem and self control has improved dramatically since starting here. He loves coming here and often does not want to leave! I am constantly amazed and continue to be pleasantly surprised with how high quality Savior Martial Arts is. One of the best decisions I have ever made was bringing my child here.
