July 01 · Kelsey HillMoney money money hungry owners. This place isn't a martial arts studio, it's a glorified day care and summer camp that does karate out of the back corner of the building. Their day care takes up 2/3 of the building. I got emails up to twice a week about their day care, not about my son's karate or how he was EVER doing. He was just another paycheck to them.We went here for over a year spending $1,600 a year for karate lessons, and we had the "cheap" rate. It's normally $2,244 a year. Not including $35 every month and a half for a new belt. $100 for the uniform, $40 for a NEW uniform, $25 for sagasu tshirt for uniform, then they have the nerve to charge another $100 every year for a registration fee when he's already been going there for a year?! They say to help cover cost of new equipment...what new equipment? The pool noodles? How about installing a drinking foundation, or replacing your stained futons in the waiting area. Greedy greedy people, surprising since Coach Karen is a Catholic.. Coach Karen is like a used car salesman. When Coach Gabe asks the students what they've done over the weekend, if they say nothing to his liking he shames them by saying, "Well that's boring."...Sorry Coach Gabe, not everyone has their own private plan to fly on the weekends like you do.The karate classes are so packed, there's 20-25 kids in a class at a time if everyone shows up. Again, all about that money. It's hard to get any real help for your child with that many students, like I said, in a small section of the building.Needless to say, after a year of this place taking our money and always needing more, it was time to pull our son out of this place and find a real karate studio, not a day care.
June 26 · Breonna FredrickMy nephew went here for summer camp and loved every minute of it. He would get so excited talking about things they did and what he learned. I loved seeing the excitement on his face. We went to the trunk or treat event and the set up was amazing. The kids and adults were having a great time. This is a wonderful , safe place for kids to grow.
October 28 · Adrienne ArmsVery family friendly place to send your kids. Sagasu has truly worked with our twin boys who have ADHD with behavioral and emotional issues in groups. They teach respect and hard work, and truly expect their students and families to show that as well, which we love!It can be expensive, but we believe it is worth the cost, and have even planned to sign another 6-12 month contract when the time comes to renew.
February 14 · Karmen BrunerWe've been going several times a week over last few months. Our 8 year old daughter enjoys the classes and the environment. They offer a variety of programs and tailor to your child's individual skill level. I cannot stress enough how great the staff are as well. As a final plus, they have parent survival nights and camps that are great also.
