★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A great choice for A stand-up martial arts. I’ve got to admit the kids/teens knocked me on my ass What Ray teaches is very effective, but things have changed some of his top Students have left to go to Carolina Martial arts Academy, including me. The reason is to have a solid Ground game. This is something ray doesn’t offer anymore Which I can understand because he’s getting older, but if you’re looking for a Stand-up martial arts this is the place to go.
August 20 · JimmyRay Rice has been a big influence with my two kids especially my wild soon to be 6 year old. She has taken her under his wing and she is learning fast and doing so well. He has helped my son focus. Ray takes the time that is needed with the younger kids and really works with them. I don’t think I could imagine having my kids in any other martial arts class. I can’t wait to see him train my kids up the way they used to do it in rays day. Kids these days are babied and pampered way too much.
March 14 · Donna BassLove ray he's a cool guy he told marshal art to my father now to me so a 100 percent you should go
July 04 · Wyatt MccormackI took lessons at his school.for over a year he never got my name right he called me Rob or Robby when my name is Scott and I told him that over and over. He held me back for my first belt for 6 months when I was more than capable of doing my kata, in fact I was showing new students the first kata and he tested them before me. The last straw was when he approached me after over a year of attending his school and asked me if I was new because he didn't recognize me....I never went back after that just sent him his money to fulfill my obligation if a man can't get your name right or recognize your skill level or even acknowledge your existence then he doesn't deserve my money.
January 01 · Scott BlantonMy son is an active student at the dojo. Ray is one of the most caring instructors I have ever met. Is he perfect, no. But no one is. Do I feel my son is in safe, competent, caring, and capable hands, ABSOLUTELY. I have seen tremendous growth in my son’s confidence since attending class with Ray. Ray tries to make every class fun as well as instructional. I think it’s great how he breaks it up to keep the younger kids engaged and active. Wouldn’t trade my son’s time there for anything. Beat, safe environment for learning.
