Quantum Martial Arts Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I joined November 2022 and would like to share this review/experience after 17 months. I grew up playing soccer and doing things like track/field since I was 5 years old. In my phase of late 20s/early 30s, I wanted to try something new and decided on martial arts.Quantum is a very welcoming place, extremely inclusive, and a community driven dojo. I wanted to learn a blended style of both grappling and striking. The Quantum style offers that and more. I also received the unexpectedly benefit of stretching/warm-ups every class - I feel way more amazing on the inside than I ever did a year ago due to training my flexibility! The first two weeks are free and you can also make other arrangement with the teacher(s) to figure out how to make best of the trial period. If you are looking for a hardcore MMA gym, this is not the place. If you seek inspiration, courtesy, friends that you can punch, and learning inwardly how far you can go, Quantum Martial Arts might just be for you! I encourage you to give a try!
April 22 · Pitka JrThough I am not a student, I've known the creator of this system and the head teacher here in Seattle for over 25 years, as well as many of the top notch students and teachers. This is a wonderful school and system with all the integrity and joy that one could ask for. Every single person I have met throughout these years walks their talk, not just teaching and learning but helping the wider communities in which they live to thrive. Respect!
January 29 · Kimberly IvyI joined Quantum Martial Arts because I wanted to improve my self confidence along with my hip flexibility. I did what you are doing, reading reviews and trying to find the right dojo and martial arts practice that would align for me. It was quite easy for me to choose Quantum, rather, it felt like Quantum chose me.Communication was simple and quick; in less than 24 hours, I was already at the dojo with a personalized one on one orientation, led by Chris. Chris was encouraging, friendly and inviting, and took his time to educate me. I told him about my goals and he assured me I would get much more out of class. Currently, the lessons I have learned in the dojo continue to guide me throughout everyday life. The first two weeks are free, giving me an opportunity to see if Quantum was the right fit. In those two weeks, a lot was going on, resulting in me being inconsistent. Alison was extremely flexible and understanding about my life circumstances and regularly communicated with me. She made it accessible for me to utilize my full two weeks. After the trial period, I was unsure about officially joining Quantum because of my then financial situation. Without hesitation, Alison worked with me to ensure that I would be able to come back and in my own uniform. In the beginning, it was intimidating for me, to be in class in my regular clothes, while everyone was in their uniforms, with their colored belts. Every class was hard and it took me weeks to learn the different names for the stances, punches, blocks, and kicks. It took me even longer to build the moves into my body. With each class I went to, my brain expanded, my confidence grew, my strength increased (both physically and mentally) and I became more flexible throughout my whole body.Even though it took me a few months to build martial arts into a regular habit, I was always greeted by name and met with enthusiasm when I entered the dojo. Every student was kind and encouraging, because everyone has been exactly where I was. Quantum is a place that consistently nourishes my soul, so much that I am able to give back. Every time anyone volunteers, there is immense gratitude felt by the community. Quantum is a safe space for you to learn and explore how to be in your body and is a space that welcomes you to show up as your authentic self.It has almost been a year now since I walked through Quantum’s doors, and I am so grateful for the practice, and most of all for the community. As the chapters of my life continue to unfold, there is so much joy in knowing that I am deeply supported by people who are always rooting for me, on and off the mat. It truly is a blessing, honor, and privilege to be taught by these instructors who have dedicated decades of their lives to learning martial arts and to teaching us students.Whether it is with Alison leading class with her heartwarming smile and showing immense passion for the kids’ classes, "Princess" Tony’s jubilant humor and playfulness during warm ups and drills, Gitai’s thoroughness and extensive knowledge when leading forms, Jim’s friendly and welcoming approach to teaching, or Karri’s attentive encouragement through each movement, every instructor brings their own unique charm to every session. Regardless of their individual personalities, their goals for each student is always the same: to be safe, have fun, and to learn martial arts. You are definitely interested if you are still reading! : )Here are some questions I am happy to answer for you. Will the classes be hard?Yes! Every. Single. Class. will be hard. Will you improve?Yes! You will constantly be growing after every training session, in mind, body, and soul. Will you be welcomed into the community?Yes!!! We are eagerly waiting for you to walk through the door and into our open arms.See you at the dojo.
March 06 · Teresa VuWonderful dojo! My kindergartner loves lessons there, very patient and kind instructors!
December 05 · MarianMy friend and I attended a class through classpass, and we had a great time! We went into the class without any martial art exposure and our instructor Karri was so nice, patient, and encouraging. It seems like this facility has a welcoming community so would recommend if people are interested.
