★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I started working out about a month ago, and it's been a great experience. The instructors are knowledgeable and make sure everyone can get help with techniques. The current students were friendly and encouraging. Plus, its a great workout and you can jump into sparring on day one! What could be better?
November 07 · Dave SchelterI've been coming here for almost a year now, and I love it! The instructors, Fred and Cutler, are so helpful when teaching drills and during sparring. They make sure to push you, but will let you take a breather if you need one. Recently, we've been having a boxing coach, Coach John, come in and teach boxing. He gives us one heck of a workout, which is great when it comes to practicing boxing and Bahad Zu'bu. I'm a grad student and can afford to come because the student rate is so affordable - I can't say enough good things about this place!
December 20 · Justin ChengTried a free class and loved it. Great workout. You work with weapons from day one and you learn self defense skills. Instructors are good at teaching to different learning types. Other students were very friendly and they help each other learn and push each other. The biggest surprise to me was how great the boxing with John is. You should give this place a try if your looking for self defense, exercise and fitness, or even looking to compete.
November 20 · Tyler RauGreat place for practical self-defense, learning traditional arts, and getting a good workout. With the newly completed renovations allowing for more equipment-based training, as well as John Turner coming in to coach, the boxing is at a whole new level. The instructors for both classes, boxing and escrima, are great, and are willing to spend time with someone one-on-one and in groups. Best of all, the schedule and flexible payment methods available allow one to choose the times suitable.I've done several different martial arts (Iaido, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido) but the ones I've learned at the school have proven to be the best experience. Practical, efficient, fun, and a great way to exercise - you'll get all that and more by coming to the Combat Arts School.
November 10 · B LI've trained and taught martial arts for over 20 years and this is the school I go to. Whether you're a beginner or someone with prior training you will get something out of every class. You'll start sparring right off the bat and get to use what you're learning immediately. There's no attitudes, no uniforms, no excessive warm ups, no liberties taken with new students and really no reason you shouldn't check this school out if you're reading this.
