Not only are the instructors passionate about teaching martial arts they really care about your well being and don’t just focus on teaching martial arts. I highly recommend OOM YUNG DOE because of personal experience. I’ve been suffering with plantar fasciitis and in my worst days when I can barely walk the instructors found the way to help me.They modified the training so that I could doing my training. They kept me encourage and motivated all the time. That made me feel strong and not give up. Thanks to them I didn’t lost hope even though I was in a lot of pain. I’ll always be so grateful to all of them.
March 06 · dea jaralilloNot your average Martial Arts school. Oom Yung Doe is so much more! 8 martial arts taught as one gives your body, heart and mind different ways of growing and developing. The instructors are kind, knowledgeable and truly, the focus is on you and your unique needs, not making you fit into a rigid system of training.I earned my first degree black belt here at 33 years old, then left the school and shopped around for something better. I never found it! At 59 years old, after 16 years of chronic Lyme, I started my training again. I am gaining strength, mobility and endurance every day and working towards my second first degree black belt. I plan to continue to train and have a totally different experience of aging than my peers. You are never too old or too infirm to get started. I promise it will change you life!
January 24 · Melanie HoldenI found Oom Yun Doe and I am so happy I did. Ive struggle with a weak core due to a car accident for some time. My instructors recommendations and the routines of the martial arts have helped me on the road in rebuilding that strength in a safe way. It is such an open supportive community and everyone in the facility is supportive of your growth. I am very grateful for the facility and the people within it.
February 27 · Sarah BrownJoining Oom Yung Doe has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Training here isn’t just about having super skilled and responsive instructors push me to work out after a long day of work—it has given me so much more. I’ve learned how to hit with power, improve my flexibility through dynamic cool forms, and understand the key elements of effective self-defense.Beyond that, training has unexpectedly boosted my confidence. I feel less afraid of potential threats on the street, which, surprisingly in turn, has given me more internal energy to handle unexpected or stressful situations in life, because consistent training has strengthened both my mind and body. I highly recommend anyone looking to stay healthy and resilient to start with a free trial lesson—that’s what initially motivated me to begin training.
