★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our children are in the 4-5 class and the Kids (6+) class. Micheal Wall is an amazing instructor. He fills the class with games and keeps the kids moving the whole hour. The schedule has so many offerings, making it easy to balance after school activities. After touring several studios, it was so nice to enter the studio and feel a real sense of community. There was no hard sell, no push to sign up right away or purchase uniforms. Micheal wants to make sure the classes are a good fit for your child.
April 24 · amanda JohansenThis school is now located at NE Albina and Alberta. Our son has been attending an afternoon class during the summer, and we are thrilled. Michael clearly loves what he does and is excellent with communicating with our son, and with us. This has been a great experience, and we are grateful to be here! Highly recommend!Update: our oldest son has been attending for two years and our younger son for 9 months. Michael was a lifeline for me through covid... Our boys thrived with his classes and I learn alot watching him interact with them. I'm thankful every day to be apart of this school. It's been an absolute blessing for us. If you are considering trying martial arts I can not recommend this place highly enough. So thankful our friends referred us here as they also had nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience.
July 14 · anni brandonI had some great martial arts teachers and some terrible ones when I was younger. I can say, without any hesitation whatsoever, that Michael is one of the best I've ever seen with kids. He manages to strike the perfect balance between physical and mental instruction, as well as balancing fun with discipline. I feel so very fortunate that my 9-year old daughter is in his class, and I wholeheartedly recommend him and his studio to other parents.
October 05 · Chris FedorczakMichael is one of the best teachers of children I have ever encountered, in ANY setting. My 6 year old son is very hard to wrangle, has ADHD, and a lot of trouble engaging with instructors/teachers who are too strict or too lenient. Michael walks that fine line, balancing firm and kind perfectly. I refer to him at home as the Mary Poppins of Martial Arts. I can't begin to express how grateful we are to have found this gem of a school.Update:Above still true...just more so. Love this MA school so much
October 22 · AshleySifu Sean Kelly and Michael Wall have created a wonderfully inviting environment in which to learn the ethical side of martial arts. It is readily apparent that both instructors care deeply about their students’ physical, mental, and a spiritual growth. Age, conditioning, experience, and ability are never issues. The instructors meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. I can recommend the school to people who are new to martial arts, students who have trained in other styles, and those of you who just need to get your wiggles out.— Matthew Johnson (age 50)
