★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I wish I could rate MKA with 10 stars! Sensei Terry and the other dedicated instructors are patient and caring. My son has been practicing karate there for 2 years, they have become family. It is a very inclusive environment welcoming people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. My son’s confidence, respect, and self-esteem have grown so much over the years.
August 12 · Holly McIntyreI operate Karate Fit USA in Lawrenceville, NJ, but wanted to take time to wholeheartedly recommend MKA Karate to those in PA! I enjoy their seminars and even going to help out with their classes occasionally, and to learning from Sensei Terry and everyone. They have excellent classes for kids all the way through adults. If my students move to PA near MKA, I would DEFINITELY recommend they continue their growth there. Decades of experience with all kinds of students and instructors, and multiple martial arts to learn in one place!
May 15 · Sensei SwingleWe at Center Stage Martial Arts went to Philadelphia for the week to attend a tournament for our martial art. We always like to go out and experience different martial arts to broaden our knowledge and ideas on how different martial arts can be applied. One of the instructors took some time out of their day to talk to us after classes, and share our ideas and principles on how they use martial arts for classes, and also practicing karate with him, it was great! I would greatly recommend joining MKA Karate for you or your daughter/son.
May 02 · Center Stage Martial ArtsI have been training under Sensei Terry off and on since the late 80's, and have been a member of the MKA Karate family going on two decades. What distinguishes MKA Karate from other schools is that in addition to learning the traiditoinal kihon (basics - kicks, punches, etc.) and kata (forms) of Ryukyu Kempo karate, you also learn the self defense application of the moves hidden in the kata. MKA provides instruction in Modern Arnis, Small Circle Jujitsu, Kyusho Jitsu (pressure point fighting), and Wei Kuen Do, so there is always something new to learn and new ways in which to challenge yourself. Along with Sensei Terry, there are a large number of instructors and other black belts who share experinces from a variety of other martial arts.
October 13 · Borys SlusarczukI take both of my kids here. I couldn’t be more happier with the way Terry runs his school. All of the instructors are great with the kids. They teach the kids self-defense, discipline and respect. The amount of patience they have with each kids is outstanding.Obviously if you have been here for more than 2 minutes can see that the guy who reviewed mka karate with 1 star probably hasn’t even been there. If your looking to get your kids involved, I highly suggest you look into bringing your kid(s) here.
