★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Can't say enough good things. My son (11) and daughter (15) started here about a year ago. My son has really benefited from the growth mindset that they radiate for the kids. They have a system to offer kids recognition and progress, with stars for homework to demonstrate good values (respect, generosity, discipline etc), stripes and of course belt tests. This creates a valuable sense of earned confidence. My daughter restarted after a break for health and they were amazing about working that out with us. Both Sifu Bryce and Sifu Chris have been just fantastic at working with her despite her having anxiety about grappling and social anxiety as well. I've watched them in action and they have a kind and yet firm ability to engage kids with patience and absolute self-regulation. It's amazing how they never have any emotional spikes and manage to be very even handed even when younger ones provoke. They really model maturity, stability and all the values they teach & manage to be always excited about what they are teaching as well.Millers MMA are creating confident kids with good values at all age levels. And they work subtly with each child to create a positive and encouraging experience. Both my kids feel like this is a safe and positive space and get ready by themselves, and ask to go to class even on tired, down days. There is no pressure and no drama, just dedicated, high quality teachers sustaining an amazing school for young people. Enroll your child with full confidence that this is going to be a positive part of all your lives.
December 12 · Anjana MohanMiller’s Martial Arts is truly a gem in our community. Both of our kids trained there—one even earned a black belt—and it was a great experience for them. The Sifus are amazing, not only teaching martial arts skills but also imparting valuable life lessons that will stay with our kids for years to come. When the pandemic hit, they quickly moved classes online via Zoom. That not only kept the lessons going but also helped us stay connected as a community during a rough time. It really showed their commitment to their students.I haven’t personally tried their adult classes, but I’ve heard they’re excellent. If you’re looking for a well rounded after school activity for your kids I highly recommend Miller’s Martial Arts.
March 05 · Yuuki MatthewsAmazing school and a great way to build a solid childhood foundation in martial arts. Also super trans friendly. They taught me life skills like discipline and grit that helped me accomplish things and also rebuild my discipline and grit when they have faltered based on the skills I learnt.
June 27 · KaíghnáMiller's MAA is great place to practice a variety of martial arts - but especially so for kids and those of us in our 30s, 40s and beyond. The instructors are about as ego-free and newbie friendly as you can find and i guarantee you won't find a group of people more capable with all kinds of children. People maintain their relationship with MMAA not just for years, but for decades - that's a level of excellence you don't find often.
December 11 · Ross HytnenMy son has been at Miller's Martial Arts for almost a year. It has been a fantastic experience. Each instructor is very patient, caring and eager to teach. My son enjoys the class and looks forward to going each time. Sherri has been wonderful answering questions and providing any guidance needed throughout our first year at MMA.I can't recommend this place enough. The professionalism, friendliness and most importantly the take away the kiddos get from martial arts..the discipline, focus, structure, confidence and self defense.
