★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve studied different martial arts including Tae Kwon Do. My young son has done it for the past four years and we decided to take him to Grandmaster Rose’s academy during a lull in his current dojo. I’ve also had an opportunity to sample others in the area. MAT is certainly impressive. I like the large size & tailored aproach. With at least 3-4 instructors in each class students are broken down well into age/skill levels. Very professional with multiple training & testing options. Spectator seating inside is great. Easy access bathroom, changing, & shower is available too. Nice location near downtown Northville. MAT’s monthly dues are on the higher end, yet it offers more too. Note, occasionally some classes get really big. I recommend. My 9 year old also likes it a lot too.
August 04 · Harold PKThe instructors at MAT are incredible and show real care, attention, and patience to each student. The private sessions have helped her little one improve focus and stay on track, and the games make it fun so she wants to keep coming back! Could not ask for more!
August 23 · Gerald WiltseThe best place to learn taekwondo, the instructors and Masters are very well prepared and are excellent human beings, our whole family has grown a lot in 1 year of being part of the academy and we are very happy with all the learning. Also we love the concept of having family class where kids and parents can share this sport.
August 30 · Merce BarellaWe’re so happy here. The staff is just amazing and SO great with the kids. They truly care and are so positive. Each instructor knows all the kids’ names and are so enthusiastic during classes. There is such a great vibe full of positive energy. Big fan of Grand Master Rose, Master Tyler, Master Woolfolk, Mr. Neil, Mr. Alex and Mr. Brendan.
January 07 · Lego SkeneA wonderful place to train, transform and triumph. The staff are all highly skilled martial artists and do a wonderful job running classes that cater to all ages and abilities. Many families participate together and it is a very family-oriented school. Highly recommend if you are considering martial arts!
