★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was the first MA school my family has attended. At first we were met with pretty decent communication and people who encouraged us to join and seemed very caring and welcoming . We made this our home school and liked the charismatic instructor and really looked forward to going . At some point many months after joining things slowly started to shift . The classes were getting increasingly longer lectures and less training time . Or times during the kids class they were punished with intense workouts that would leave the kids fuming mad or crying as parents sat there and watched. I was a helper in these kids classes and it posed a deep moral dilemma of stopping it or allowing the instructor to continue because it is “His School” and have been told several times that if we don’t like his way, there’s the door.During our time there we were encouraged to cross train with the “sister schools” and it was mentioned several times, so eventually I took a class with a local group. That’s when things really started to change . The behavior of the instructor was hot and cold . Some days he was very pleasant and others he was agitated. It was like walking on eggshells. You never know what personality trait you were going to be met with .I do not know for a fact as I have not SEEN with my eyes , but upon sparing with him myself , I smelled alcohol on his breath several times. I do not know what other reason there could be for the smell of alcohol to be so strong other than unprofessional behavior taking place during operating hours. I personally know a few people who have the same story. Not to mention the drinking that I have seen with my own eyes that happens in the office during operating hours . I fear that one day there will be an emergency and no one sober enough to deal with it . I feel that this is knowingly putting the kids at risk. As a helper for some of the classes, I could not in good conscience continue to be a part of this as it feels like there arguably be legal liability. This topic of cross training seemed to fuel his poor behavior and it came to a head several times where a meeting had been called . We were made to believe it was an open discussion . We were told yes cross train but no don’t cross train at several sister school locations because they are “pos” people, among other pretty gross language and name calling. The person who runs social media even scribbled out an hand sign that reflects another MA groups sisterhood in photos. Any and all attempts to have a rational and problem solving discussions were shut down. It was impossible. You can not talk to someone who does not want to hear and only wants to be heard.Ultimately we made the decision to leave because we were told constantly about how he wanted to encourage women to join MA , how he felt so deeply that women have a place in MA and he wanted to make that happen but with the next breath degraded fellow women in the community with his words . That is not the energy I want around me and that is not the example I want for my daughter .I actually miss the school we got to be a part of in the beginning . I hope that positive changes can be made so they can be successful but at this time I would not recommend based on my own personal experience there .
August 28 · Meighan StrausserWe just recently joined and I am so happy we did! I have 2 boys (14 and 12) and I needed something for them to do besides being on their phones! They were not happy at first but now they both enjoy coming!! Coach Miguel and everyone here have made us feel welcomed, safe, and just like we are part of big Family ❤️
January 05 · Ana ChavezWe cannot say enough, We are so thankful with Coach Miguel and his team for all the hard work and effort they put everyday to teach my kids and all the kids on the gym. The progress is real that even teachers and therapist are seen the change on my child.
July 31 · JR RodriguezWhat an amazing group of people. It felt like home from the very first class. My husband and I are blown away with this place.
February 19 · Rachel JacobsIt really feels like family. I know the Head Instructor and the owners personally and they're really understanding, easy to talk to people. The head instructor knows his stuff and has been teaching for 30 plus years. I really recommend it and I'm gonna be going back very soon. 10 out of 5 stars.
