★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My son Kaleo has been with Lee’s since just before the holidays. They are so incredibly great with him. So patient and kind. They are teaching him such great life skills in addition to Taekwondo. He loves it so much there he asks all week if today is class day. We definitely recommend signing your kids up here. You won’t regret it. Class with Instructor Jamie is the always so fun and he is the best!
March 03 · Nalani AlvaradoI enrolled my son 2.5 years ago at the age of 4 to help with his confidence, listening skills, and to work on respect and discipline. I cannot say enough good things about Lee’s Martial Arts.. the teachers are incredible with the kids. It has been such a wonderful community to learn from and be apart of. They are a constant support for not only my son but also for us as parents. You will not be disappointed in choosing Lee’s Martial Arts Academy for your child or yourself to learn and grow with!
August 18 · Kaylee BehmMy kids have been attending Lee's Martial Arts since January of this year.Master John & Instructor Jaime are so incredibly patient with the kids. My 5 year old is more on the shy side, but the atmosphere and culture at Lees Martial Arts, allows him to step out of his shell and engage with other kids. I see him trying to play, run, and even talk to other kids. I don't even see such energy and excitement at school events, with kids he's with 5 days a week. He's been loving the classes and is excited to come home and show our family what cool moves he's learned. My 3 year old has come a long way in the short amount of time we've joined. She's learning personal space, she's learning the concept of following instructions and learning to set goals.I love that there's a space for parents to stay and watch on the side. It heals my inner child being on the side, supporting the kids.
March 06 · Flor CruzI wanted to wait until my son had been in classes for at least 6 months before I commented and we just got there so here I am!I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am with Lees Martial Art Academy - Crystal Lake location. My 5 year old son had consistently been having trouble in other sports classes - soccer, ninja warrior, swimming, music (is that a sport?) and this was largely because he is hyper, doesn’t listen very well, and has a tough time with a class that has a lot of down time. This has been the one sport he’s excelled with. I think part of this has to do with the taekwondo philosophy and training but also, and very specifically, with the instructors and culture at Lee’s.Master John and Instructor Jamie are the most patient people I have ever met. Not once, have either of them put him aside or ignored him because he was not getting it or having a tantrum. They calmly and respectfully work with him over and over again. They also have some of the older kids with black belts help him and calmly demonstrate how to do things. Because of this, he’s advanced to yellow belt and has significantly improved since he started. In addition to the classes, they have a diverse and accepting community of parents and students who come together often for things like picnics, parents’ nights, school holiday daycare, and fundraisers. It has been a great experience getting to know the other parents and being immersed into this community. And as a random bonus, the classes are indoor so there’s no issue with training year around. In summation, Lees Martial Art is one of the best things we’ve found since moving to Crystal Lake and I highly, highly recommend checking it out, especially if your child has not been overly successful at any of the more “popular” sports.
July 18 · Veronica FitzpatrickMy son Kaison has been a member for over 3 years now and all I can say is this place is the best around. We had tried a place before Lee’s but they do not compare to them. I had enrolled him initially so his social skills and confidence would improve and it has surpassed what I expected. He loves going, learning and he has met some great friends. All the credit goes to the instructors because they are honestly the reason why my son is still there. Master John is a great coach. He is patient and works with us in regards to scheduling and tuition. Master Jaime is the best role model for my son. He is also patient and wow is he talented!! I would like my son to grow up to be just like him. Everybody there is amazing even the older kids like OZ who are great leaders and role models for the smaller kids. This place is honestly the best and im so happy my son enjoys going everyday and I look forward to more years with Lee’s Martial Arts.
