The reviewer also mentioned a negative experience with a contract and refunds. Kuk Sool Won Reviews
I can't offer any comments on the quality of instruction. For the short period we were involved my son did enjoy the classes. Before we had a chance to really evaluate it, the instructor/school broke their end of our contract making it incompatible and uneconomical for us and was not willing to make any concessions on refunds of wasted money. He now only offers one lesson a week on saturday...afternoons..starting at 1:00 pm. So if you want to make a family trip to the beach one saturday, maybe take the kids to their soccer or baseball game another saturday, you quickly run out of lessons you can attend.we signed a contract paying $150 for 2x uniforms, $100 for registration for 2, $60 for books all based on a contract for 2 lessons a week [this part is key, we signed up based on 2 lessons a week] for $110/month for 2 students - monday evening and saturday afternoon. We expressed hesitation in joining because the school advertised as having Mon, Wed, and Friday lessons but upon visiting it was only monday and saturday. When we mentioned missing occasional saturdays for other activities, Mr Amado emphasized to us how important it was that we attend as many saturdays as we can because once a week is not enough training or instruction especially for children.with in a month, monday lessons were canceled permanently leaving saturdays only.$110 a month for 1 lesson a week - saturday afternoons only - is not compatible with kids schedules. this isnt their life, it is only a part of it. we have cub scouts and other activities. His instruction became incompatible and uneconomical. After telling us more than one lesson a week was vital he then tried to convince me it was still a good deal. It doesnt matter how good of a deal it is - one lesson a week is not enough to develop the skills.Mr. Amado did not read/understand his contract with the facility he uses.Through this negligence, Mr. Amado broke his end of the contract but would not make any concessions or agreement for refunding books or any thing else.Without concessions on even partial refunds of registration or returning uniforms or a brand new text book, I cannot in good conscience recommend Mr. Amado's school.as long as he's only offering saturday afternoon lessons then do not invest the time or money here. go somewhere else.If he opens up more lessons...well i'll leave that up to you to decide.
