This institution is dedicated to building character, confidence, and a strong sense of discipline in its students, from young children to adults. The proof is in the stories of its students. As one parent shared, their son, Angel, started in the "lil dragon program" at age four and has since grown to be more confident, disciplined, and respectful. The positive impact of martial arts training extended beyond the dojo, inspiring him to try other sports and activities. The same parent highly recommends the summer camp, noting that their son had so much fun he already asked to be enrolled for next year. This is a testament to the school’s ability to keep kids engaged and happy, while also providing a structured and enriching experience.
Another parent review highlights the dedication and knowledge of the instructors, who are praised for making learning fun for all skill levels. They are described as patient and great with children, striking the perfect balance between discipline and enjoyment. It's this dedication to student well-being and personal growth that has made the Karate Academy a beloved fixture in the Chicago community. It’s a place where children not only learn to punch and kick but also develop crucial life skills that will serve them well into adulthood.

August 17 · Anthony PranioMy son started Karate Academy in January and absolutely loves it! He came back from karate tonight so proud after working hard and earning another stripe! The teachers are the right amount of compassionate, educational, and tough! My son loves it so much that he had his bday party there in April...and let me tell you... Karate Academy knows how to throw the BEST kids birthday party!!! It was so well organized and the kids were entertained from beginning to end. It was one of the few birthday parties we've thrown that didn't feel like work. We love this place!
May 16 · Elizabeth RanucciUpdate: Another year in Summer camp! This time around my 6 y.o has joined the 12 y.o and they are both having a blast. The kids are put into groups with kids similar in age. They get to meet new people and make new friends. I don’t have to worry about taking them out for the summer because Karate Academy does it all! They go swimming, to the movies, Arcade, bowling, Six Flags, etc. All the coaches are awesome! My boys are also part of the After school program and are in the Martial classes. Karate Academy is like a second family.2022: Summer Camp just keeps getting better and better! This is the fourth year my 11 y.o goes to the camp and not once has he been disappointed. He loves the field trips, making new friends, and the coaches! They have this cool system that makes it easy to communicate with all of them at once via text message, someone always responds. This was the first summer my 5 y.o also attended and he really liked it too. The kids are divided into groups by age, so they can play with kids in their own age range. He wasn’t scared and felt welcomes by all. Thank you Karate Academy for always making sure my kids have a great summer!P.S. you algo get to join this exclusive FB group for parents where you can see pictures and videos of the many activities they get to do. Makes me feel like I’m missing out.
June 16 · Emma MatiasJust days before registration, we were informed that our child, who has an IEP for a recognized disability, would not be allowed to return to summer camp due to a behavioral issue involving not following directions and allegedly taking a soda from a fridge. While we take full responsibility as parents and do not excuse inappropriate behavior, we are disappointed in how the situation was handled—particularly that we were not made aware that these incidents could lead to expulsion, nor given a chance to work with staff on accommodations or strategies to support our child. As a private company, they have the right to deny service, but for parents of children with IEPs or special needs seeking a supportive environment, we urge you to do thorough research, as this experience was far from the inclusive setting we had hoped for.
